Put some grease on the new seal so it's lubed until oil gets to it.

That sucks. Sorry Jim.

that sucks.....it has got to be either the crankshaft is not true, a faulty PTO crank bearing or you are building up pressure in the crankcase and it is blowing by the seal....How do the seals look after you pull them out? do you see any distinguishable signs of wear on the sealing surfaces????

Or the oil drain back hole is plugged or restricted.

The seals look fine when I pull them out. The crank is straight, and the hose for the pcv is free and clear. Idk I'm stumped. Should know something within a week. I'm going to SoCal on vaca so I'm not even gonna think about it

sorry man....go enjoy the vacation and drink away your sorrows!

Did you put a runout gage on the very outer end of the crank? If so what did you get for a reading? If im not mistaken it cant be more than 3 thousandths of runout.

Ya Jim did that a long time ago.

Been at the dealer a week now and they're still scratching their heads. New seal, no codes. No crankshaft end play. No crankshaft runout, is true as from the factory.
