I got my shox in late October and 1st ride out in the dunes it kicked the codes. Took it in amd next dune trip zero codes then the desert trip I had codes. Dropping it off for the 5th time since I bought it this wednesday. Going to ratchet up the heat as taking it to Arizona for some more desert trails after I get it back. If it comes back on and they dont replace the shocks I'm going to start talking about lemon laws in the state we have.

I just got mine back for the 3rd time. This time they replaced a left fwd shox harness saying it was bad. Took over a month to get a 2’ piece of harness from factory in! Guess we’ll see. If it keeps failing I’ll be asking about lemon laws as well or a full suspension replacement.

You will need to initiate a case# between dealer/mechanic/BRP, you may be able to use any "certified" mechanic, however I would think they will want to use "BUDS" system.
I would call BRP direct.

......yeah me too, I feel your pain. I spent 9 weeks in and out of dealership, cancelled family trips and events, $4500 worth of extended warranty money wasted for nothing to be fixed by the originating dealer. They wanted to throw another 2-3 weeks and $2500 when I said enough... went to a different dealer 30 min and $60 fixed it.

What was the $60 dollar fix exactly? I just took my car in for the service bulletin BRP issued on the smart shocks(reprogramming)...It didn't do the trick unfortunately.

A dealer told me I need limit straps because my shocks are extending too much with the HCR kit I have, but I'm doubting that since i notice my error coming up from fast compression and not extension.

My issue was simple wastegate actuator solenoid.

Turns out the harness they replaced did the trick with my fault. Or so they say. Could have needed reprogramming and they used the harness as an excuse. I don’t know but it works and that’s all I care about.

The weird part it, where I take it is really rocky and bumpy so I was hoping it’d be pretty squishy after the fault stopped but it’s still pretty brain rattling. I need to air down now but I was hoping the suspension would take care of most of that.

For a suspension fault?!?! Wtf That doesn’t even make sense
No, I didn't reference a suspension fault code, it was a misfire code and I was merely explaining how the majority of dealers don't know or can't do crap!
They use a script they have or provided by BRP through BUDS to diagnose codes. Many times they are so off the mark it is absolutely appalling and shows their ignorance and arrogance ....

So after 3 shock updates and replacement of both rear harnesses and them rerouted my shock light has not come on the last two short rides in the desert. No dune trips until October as its hot as balls out in the west this summer. This and the turbo is the only reason I got a warranty though.

I'm in the west as well. Yes hot as hell ! I'm sure hoping the dealership figures it out. I'm going to show them this, and possibly "help" them ? 😩

So supposedly with the update they don't need to do the shock adjustments now. The pinched in my harness was where the trailing arm sucks into the body opening at the back. I was told it was actually a different code than the 1st error, but its a communication error code. Hopefully that works for you.

I had consistent shox faults the first 3 months with less than 30 miles total over that span (took to dealer 3 times), then they claim to have replaced a harness section, and since then it’s never come back. I’m at around 800 miles now and have not seen another shox fault.

canam have new part number of harness? they change you all of harness or only front/rear? did you have error with front/rear suspension?

All I had was a suspension fault code. Took it in 3 times. On the 3rd time they said they replaced a section of suspension harness they found to be faulting. The paperwork I have only says warranty work for suspension fault and does not include anything specific. I seem to remember one of the techs telling me they found a connection end at one of the shox sensors to be bad. Like a pin inside it was bent or something so it couldn’t read any info off it. Something along those lines.
Looking back I would have just disconnected everything myself and inspected everything. Probably could have found it myself so much faster if that’s actually what they found. I’m still skeptical but whatever. It works like a champ now so I’m happy.

ok thank you. I will check this :)

Mine was drivers side rear harness that was pinched. They ended up replacing both sides and rerouting it along the swing arm. No issues since. You can find a list of trouble codes online or maybe in another topic on the forum. There is a code for the shock program issue and one for communication. My 1st 4 trips were for the shock programming and the next one was the communication error. I don't recall the codes though so can't help there. Hope you get it solved as its no fun riding in full stiff if your just cruising.

I have errors: C240B C240D C240E

2021 XRS T RR 347mi
Mine is going in Monday. Here is my rundown
1. Bought it 28days ago. Put 187mi. First week dirt roads. Breaking
2. After 2 weeks. Receive intermittent B2E03 Codes and The yellow exclamation points. Ran great. Took it in on a Saturday morning. They plugged it in to laptop found the fault code. "Communication error with smart shox Module to EcU". Flashed it ran a shock update. Told me if it comes up again wiggle wires around the module under the steering column Brought it home drove it some and didn't have issues. Parked in garage.
3. During the week I worked on it installing front bumper etc.
4. YESTERDAY. A friend and myself were ready to load it up and go to the ORV park here. Snap the key fob on, it lights up. I push the button. NaDA. Wont turn over. Think we heard click once. Then the faults start scrolling. Everything DPS; Smart shox, smart lok yada yada. Only having an hr and half till dealership closes we roll out. *no time to check battery and get there. Get there tech plugs in laptop. Says BRP program isn't good has problem connecting. Later he diagnosed it as a dead cell in the battery. So I ask him why? Could it be my hookup for lighting power on it. <no he replied>. Tells me the faults were from low voltage draw. Clears codes and tell me I have to buy a new battery and they will try to submit it under warranty but they usually won't on a battery. Wtf 28 days from purchase but ok. We buy the Batt. Take it back to my house and charge and install it. That's when I notice no Batt cover panel REALLY! Never had one. Installed the fully charged new battery fire it up and ready to roll. We decide to late for park and go back roading. Not 10min in Suspension Fault Code
wTF.
4. Dropping it off tomorrow and showing the tech these posts. Tell me to wiggle flipping wires that's some BS. Also the negative Batt term. Was bent up almost flat not the 90° its supposed to be at.
5. My passenger side rear sensor I found a strange green x. I didn't put it there?
