What’s everybody running for windshields. I’m torn between going with a half or a full one. What’s the benefit to either. Thank you for the help.
This is what i useFor you guys with glass ones, are you coating the glass with anything? If so, what?
Do you have a pic of the ducts?Running a glass brp windshield, no coatings, added brp wiper system.
I did run a duct that channels air from front to reduce heat and dust problem.
No coating. I have glass cleaner and a cloth I use on the trail. Only need it if I get mud. Other than that it works all day. No scratches or issues at all.For you guys with glass ones, are you coating the glass with anything? If so, what?
I want to see this duct also!!!Do you have a pic of the ducts?
I'm thinking I need to do some ducts. I only used my windshield one day in the dunes last season when it was cool and windy.Do you have a pic of the ducts?
Yes, it is almost mandatory to have a rear window when having a front. I tried the rear bet with my bent metal front windshield and it sucked in a lot of heat and dust. A spike rear window helped a lot. Still get dust swirl from the drainage holes in the skid plate, but it’s much better with the rear windowDoes the back window help with the dust when you have the front windshield? I ride in the desert and I get a lot of dust circling back into the cab

now that is slick...any more info or a build thread on it?
for the people that like the full glass windows and live in worm climate there was no real solution.... so I started by researching rally roof scoops and came to the conclusion to make my own this is the prototype. The air flow is 400 CFM has vents that can be closed to keep worm on cold days or nights and was fitted on BM vented roofnow that is slick...any more info or a build thread on it?
I have my vents open on my BM windshield, and I still dont get enough airflow through the cab
Thanks for sharing. That’s an ingenious setup! I have the canam plastic roof so my options are limited a bit I think.for the people that like the full glass windows and live in worm climate there was no real solution.... so I started by researching rally roof scoops and came to the conclusion to make my own this is the prototype. The vents rotate 360 degrees and open and close so it would help if turned at windshield would work little like a defrost with out heat it would be slower than a normal defrostThanks for sharing. That’s an ingenious setup! I have the canam plastic roof so my options are limited a bit I think.
My biggest issue is hitting water puddles when it’s cold outside or really damp...the interior fogs up badly...with the bent metal vents open, I need to run about 50 to get enough air flow through it to clear it. I’ve used rain x anti fog and it works for a little bit, but inevitably the fog reappears. Can’t run 100 yards on the trail in west va without hitting puddles....not an issue when warm out...just when temps are cooler. I was wondering if some kind of fan setup would alleviate this?
