What’s everybody running for windshields. I’m torn between going with a half or a full one. What’s the benefit to either. Thank you for the help.

Welcome from Tucson AZ. The Pro of a full windshield is it keeps stuff (sand, dirt, etc.) out of your face. The Con is it has a way of keeping in dust and heat. I have never used one, so other members will chime in with their experiences. Supporting Vendor Bent Metal makes a nice one, if you haven't checked them out.

Benefit for me and wife is wind and small objects not hitting you we drive a lot on the roads around Sodona area so its a big plus there.... bad side is in summer the cab gets worn and the dust tends to get trapped in the cab....I have bent metal roof and windshield but they don't make the roof with side vents like i have anymore and I put back window in also does help with dust. it takes less than 5 min to install and take off WS.

Nice machine ?? Yeah I kinda wish someone made a split windshield you could run as full or half. Depending on riding. I’m in Colorado so I’ll mostly be on fire roads and trails. I’m thinking I might give a half windshield a shot.

I tried half poly hard coat windshields and when running trails, it’s amazing the amount of water that comes over the front end when hitting puddles. Got the bent metal vented windshield and wiper, and configured a sprayer with jets and reservoir and it works fantastic. First tried it with the rear net and there was a lot of heat sucked into the cab from the intercooler...got the spike rear vented window and it works much better.

I have the factory windshield and I have used it once at the dunes when it was windy and cool out. Other than that it makes it way to hot for my liking. I also have the Can Am rear net window not sure how well that helps but it does keep the lights off my friends cars from blinding me on night rides. Im considering going to my buddies water jet shop and making a run at cutting in some vents to the glass. I know its risky and could possibly shatter it, he does glass cutting for a few fab shops that build windshields for Rzr guys and they use Ford Ranger glass and once in a while one blows up. So I might Roll the Dice.

I have full from BRP with rear net and lower doors. Very little dust. Most comes from floor when hammering down in corners.

I wouldn’t leave home without it.

Would consider rear window and possible cut a vent hole in top of roof to even out air pressure.

I don’t wear glasses or a mask.

Yes, it is almost mandatory to have a rear window when having a front. I tried the rear bet with my bent metal front windshield and it sucked in a lot of heat and dust. A spike rear window helped a lot. Still get dust swirl from the drainage holes in the skid plate, but it’s much better with the rear window

^^^ That's a neat vent setup, look effective.
SuperATV makes a half windshield, tried it for a day and took it off. The top of the shield sits right in my line of sight (seats in low position, I'm 6'-4"), it was annoying me to no end. I'll try it again on my next sand run, maybe I'll like it better than I did on the trails. The OEM half shield looks to me like it would work better.

Just did my first long ride after installing a Super ATV hard coated full windshield I wanted for cold weather riding. It made a big difference in cab temps from the snow ride I did a couple weeks ago. Only downside I found with the windshield is I would get ocassional exhaust fumes circling back into the cab.
