I don't see many people going through with that. The speakers replace dash parts so you'd end up having to buy the blank versions, and the wiring is really integrated. Would be a massive PITA to remove.
Never underestimate a persons desire to undo a factor installed item. LOL!

I would just keep the stereo. It would not be a deal breaker as I do not see it as the big cost driver as to why the RC Mav R is so much. I see it as you are getting more value for the extra money.
I totally agree. There is a difference in price between the two but it’s not because of this stereo. It’s there and likely doesn’t cost them anywhere near 3400 to add it to production. You get so much more in value so the the XRC. You don’t think they added all these other changes for $600 after you take out the stereo 🤣🤣. The amount of people unhinged over it coming with a stereo and trying to say that’s $3400 of the $4000 upgrade cost is outrageous. Also yes the XRC has full skid plates underneath it and also trailing arm guards, rock sliders, diff cover and a arm guards….

Don’t forget it has the steering stabilizer and the intrusion bars. But to me it worth it for the trans there a reason they added it and it was in the koh car.
Oh I completely agree. The trans would make it worth it alone for me. I have a max and the low range is awesome. And then all the other additional items for the price there are a lot of things for not a huge upgrade fee. But hey it has a damn stereo 🤣. Without the stereo they could still charge the same price and it would still be value for what all the give you. You don’t add all those accesssores for the same price. I saw today in order to add the steering stabilizer to all the others it requires the new rack the XRC has….

See post on page 1, I added all that stuff to an XRS and it came to about $50k instead of the 53k for the XRC.

Granted I couldn't add the stabilizer as its not an option so add another $800.

You may not be paying the full $3700 for the stereo but its definitely not free.
For those that don't need or want it it sucks that you don't get a choice, I don't think its unhinged to be annoyed by that.
You cannot really make the argument that it wouldn't be cheaper without that $3700 (retail) option.

Well I just did it on the website and the smart shocks XRC is 49,699. Nothing else added. The XRS smart shocks with all the stuff the XRC has is 52,984.99. This also doesn’t include the steering rack and steering stabilizer, the high clearance radius rods, the 35” tires, the max transmission. Your numbers are backwards. So since the XRC is 3 grand cheaper there you got the stereo for $400 not including all the non priced options you couldn’t add 🤣🤣🤣. Now would I care about the stereo certainly not because I use intercom and radio and pump my music in through that.

You can’t add the trans to the xrs and I can promise there a price difference there
I'm comparing a max, which already has that bigger low range trans.
This one supposedly has slightly lower 1-3 gear cut as well but altering the ratio slightly of a few gears in a production environment is negligible.

To be fair they have basically done the same thing with price on the X3 XRC as well.
Its almost $3k more than an XRS now while not offering as much as the Mav R XRC.
No 35" tires, no stereo, no smart light, and no steering damper.
2025 the XRS and XRC were basically the same price (and probably still should be).

You are right, something with the accessories was off earlier today.
I added the exact same stuff I did earlier today to the XRS just now and it came out at about 52k.
Buggy ass website lol.
Definitely getting better pricing on all the added stuff on the XRC than adding it to an XRS now.
I guess it just depends on if you want or need all that stuff.

Well when I go into building a xrs max there several items like the xrc front bumper that says contact dealer and to add the same winch you have to have that bumper then there a light support for the xrc you can’t add or light since it says contact dealer. So how can you build apples for apples

Agreed, its very difficult to do apples to apples.
End of the day if you want an XRC pay 53k, if you want an XRS pay 50k.
Its a lot of dough either way. (and more than last year)
Or take door #3 and get a Kawasaki H2 for $10k less lol.

I’m sitting trying to decide if the wife will notice a third mav r in the shop or if I stuck duning my x3 one more year
Probably depends on how big your shop is and how much stuff is in there to hide it behind lol.
Worst case you could always say its a clients car and hope she doesn't wonder a year later why its still there lol.

I think the big deal with the 2 seat xrc is the engineering it took to get it there. I agree with it and a lot of the performance upgrades, I think the xrc version of x3 or mav r should come with atleast a 20% gear reduction. The sound system…it’s about principle, don’t like being forced to buy something I don’t want😂but you have two dynamics at play…people like Burton (not sure what you do but would love to be your nephew!) and then some person who is literally thinking about financing this thing out for 7 years….but than come the add-ons after you buy it. That’s a STEEP cost for most people. At the end of the day, they want to sell a lot of these units, and I like it as a whole, (glad I’m not in the market though) but in today’s economy most regular people will be out.
