well those who saw the announcement and looked at the website, what are your thoughts?
$44,289.01Compared to the already over inflated price.
How much less could it have been without the $3700 stereo though.
I’m not going to excuse the ridiculous pricing on these things lately.
The market will decide, once the whales have scooped them up time will tell how many they sell.
Been waiting 2 years...... LOLThis thread is on fire - 61 posts in 15 hours, slow day in the office?
If it wasn't so slow, I could afford the damn radio! This thread is on fire - 61 posts in 15 hours, slow day in the office?

I'm just saying that in reality, everything in the Level 3 kit is in the Level 5 kit. I doubt their plan for people who want the Level 5 is to charge them twice for the Level 3, but ya never know nowadays. This is how I'm reading it:
$47.999 which includes the $3709.99 system. (If they took the Level 3 out the base would be $44,289.01)
Add the level 5 for a total of $53.258.99.
$53,258.99
($44,289.01)
$8,969.98

Bottom line, it's expensive crap. I'd rather see a lower price tag and have those $$ go to comms knowing I'm going to quickly spend a minimum of $10-$15K right off the bat.I'm just saying that in reality, everything in the Level 3 kit is in the Level 5 kit. The Level 4 kit is totally separate, technically you could buy Level 4 and Level 5 and have no overlap.
They are giving you everything that the X3 RC offered and then some. This is a longer wheelbase vehicle with longer trailing arms. It has lower gearing, which the X3 RC did not offer. You are getting a lot of stuff for $4K over the Mav R RS model.Compared to the already over inflated price.

The market will decide, once the whales have scooped them up time will tell how many they sell. At this pricing I doubt they will sell as well as the x3 XRC sold. That model gave you a lot for your money and didn’t make you buy expensive stereos or smart lights.
I give Kawasaki a lot of credit for bringing a strong competitor for almost $10k less.
I was going to bring that up wondering if they do the install.Wait a week call the dealer see if that radio dealer installed on setup I bet you can delete it if so
I’m sure they would be willing to remove it from your machine for half a days shop labor rate up charge. 🤣I was going to bring that up wondering if they do the install.
Or just remove it yourself and sell it to someone that wants it.Wait a week call the dealer see if that radio dealer installed on setup I bet you can delete it if so
The cage won’t allow for racing due to rules right? so…..I think it’s for guys who want to brag it’s the closest to king of hammers car as possibleYea, sorry, that was kind of my thought. Racers arnt going to really buy it unless maybe brand new to racing. And out of price range for I would think most normal people.
Nah, it’s definitely a better rocks and rough trail machine than an XRS, but no it’s not race ready by any means. The cage won’t allow for racing due to rules right? so…..I think it’s for guys who want to brag it’s the closest to king of hammers car as possible
Seems like it’s just lower low range (like the max) and possibly (according to some) a little lower 1-3 gears. I would think that would not hurt its top end in the desert. Probably better since it has larger tires. Are they finding these lower geared trans good or better for sand and desert as well? I'm sure it helps with larger tires.
I paid like 4300 for the Level 5 audio after the dealer discount and love it, its indescribably loud, and very clear, everyone I've played it for is speechless. I'm really glad I got it.Bottom line, it's expensive crap. I'd rather see a lower price tag and have those $$ go to comms knowing I'm going to quickly spend a minimum of $10-$15K right off the bat.
I don't see many people going through with that. The speakers replace dash parts so you'd end up having to buy the blank versions, and the wiring is really integrated. Would be a massive PITA to remove.Or just remove it yourself and sell it to someone that wants it.
Don't feel having expensive half azz crap will do them much good and pesonally feel it will turn more away than attract for that kind of sound, $3700 is nothing to sneeze at. Then we have I would guess 50%+ of the buyers not wanting sound at all plus those who use headphones through comms, especially rock and trail people.I paid like 4300 for the Level 5 audio after the dealer discount and love it, its indescribably loud, and very clear, everyone I've played it for is speechless. That said, they should NOT be forcing the Level 3 onto everyone. It's dumb. They should have came out with a base cheap speaker kit that only added like 1000, and left the JL stuff as an option. My guess is they have an exclusive agreement with JL and can't throw some cheap stuff in there to check the box.
I think the fact that they didn't do the same thing on the XRS is an A-B test, they probably want to see which way sells better.
Never underestimate a persons desire to undo a factor installed item. LOL!I don't see many people going through with that. The speakers replace dash parts so you'd end up having to buy the blank versions, and the wiring is really integrated. Would be a massive PITA to remove.
