Its a brownish fluid and the line can be easily removed from the insert (figured its broken). No lights on dash. XRS runs fine.

Fuel tank vent line is what i guessed when I saw it on mine.

 

Fuel tank is in the passenger dash area, I thought it was a drain lol

 

Its the crank case vent. When your car is upside down oil will find its way to that tube (I know from experience.....LOL)

 

Yup, been there. Mine is fine other than some fluid that spewed out of here. I cant seem to find this line in any manual or service diagram. SxS is in storage right now but I plan to trace it when I go get it again.

 

Most likely gear box vent tube or diff vent, the only ones allowed to be vented to air.

 

Its not the crankcase vent, unless someone added it there. That would be horrible for the passenger to smell. The crankcase, in stock form, is plumbed back into the intake. I would recommend a catch can setup though, vented to atmosphere. Follow the hose and see where it leads.

 

Possible it is the trans vent?
I believe it is roughly in that area.

Does anyone know where that transmission vent line terminates?
