Alright guys, whats really going on with these transmissions?? Was it a 24 issue? Batch number? I am seeing ALLOT of broken transmissions on facebook/etc so im not going to pretend its not a big issue. What exactly is happening and what is everyone doing to remedy or avoid the situation…im seeing lots of brp denied warranties bc of evo tune etc…

Get cold feet while lying in bed last night lol?

I had the same when I bought my X3, tossed and turned a lot that night. I knew it was a bad financial decision and my better judgement told me to not buy it. At one point I decided I was going to call them in the morning and cancel the purchase. From a financial standpoint they are all a terrible decision but I sure did have a lot of fun with it. It’s terrible fun per dollar value though. I don’t regret buying it, but I still struggle a bit for making such a bad financial choice. It’s something my inner soul fights hard to prevent me from doing lol.

Over 1500 miles of east coast trails beat down and zero transmission issues so far. We usually hit the hardest trails when we ride. I am in manual 90% of the time unless on the road. I do think that drivers that use auto in the rough stuff are just asking for a trans problem. Could low be lower….yeah. But it definitely does great on 35s for us!!

2600 miles on mine and never skipped a beat so far. Another in the group 1000 and hasn’t seen issues. I had heard some may have been sent where the magnets were overtightened and causing them to break. 🤷🏼‍♂️. I have also heard that it sounds like potentially certain parts may be coming now instead of full trans as options. And as always you hear the worst of everything on Facebook for sure. And then 45 posts of the same guy as well. Have some broke yeah I’m sure of that no doubt. Everything will have issues for sure. Also seems to me more of the 24’s but that could be off base.

True, but the only way we find out is people adding more and more power and see what starts failing. Adding clutch pack hydraulic pressure will help the clutches. Tuning shift RPM and full clamp time also helps or hurts.

Just like GM and the C8, people have added 50% more power on a stock DCT setup witout issues. Tuned and a new clutch material they have been 1200-1400 HP.

If you died tomorrow because some idiot whipped a U-turn on the freeway in a semi truck, would you be glad you saved all that money for later....? Some people think "Travel" is money well spent. Some people think going out to eat at Post-Covid quality restaurants is still a worth while venture. Hell, I know a guy that spent almost as much on a sim machine, just so he can pretend to do what I can go do on the weekends. To each their own. But you guys on here talking about this "Fun per dollar" stuff, need to learn how to have fun again. You're doing it wrong. What's the point in working a miserable job if you cant buy the shit you want but don't need? All I'm working for is the hope that I get to NOT work for a few years before I die, if my body holds up and I don't die before that...? ****. THAT. As long as responsibilities are handled, go have fun.

Fortunatlely, horse trading was in my genes, along with work experience trained me to be wise with purchases and sales. The one way I was able to have most all the toys I wanted through the years was buying right, I maintaind a philosophy where I practiced to never buy toys or equipment I couldn't at least break even with or make money on and turn them over accordingly. Even with a brand new truck every year. Most everything exept for disposables was an investment or money in the bank over time. Yes there were times of loss but overall minimal where the net was always in the black and with a fair gain over time. I was fortunate to have sustained this practice for decades.

Times have most definitley changed as it's become a rarity, or much more work involved to break even or gain today as in the past, and the fact I'm up in age has alot to do with motivation in this department. I'm losing more equity than I ever have with toys and equipment, mostly due to lack of turnover and the economy. However, my time is much more valuable buillding our businesses for future residual income. I gave it 4-5 years after starting the last endeavor, I'm now in the 5th year as we speak spending up to 12-14 hours a day, 6-7 days a week with missed vacations (riding time) and some familiy time. I'm about DONE!

The most heavy thing on my mind right now?
What if I could no longer enjoy life due to health, or if I died tomorrow....

I'll take that new Can Am, please!

Too bad BRP wouldn't partner with a solid tuner to offer factory backed HP upgrades with warranty like Callaway does with GM. My supercharger package and trans tune have my full GM warranty on the entire drivetrain. Not a cheap HP adder but with full factory warranty, many people would pay a premium for the HP adder.
