Sturdy whip/flag mount?

Does anyone have a good solution for a sturdy whip/flag mount to the front of the vehicle? The dunes in Michigan require the flag to be mounted to the front bumper of vehicles with a steering wheel. I have tried several roll bar clamp-style mounts that mount to the Can-Am front bumper (1.5" bar), but the required flag pole length is so long that it always rotates backwards due to the wind resistance. I was thinking about making my own mount, but wanted to see if anyone here has a good solution. I can get by with the clamp mount if I also pull the mount forward with zip ties, which keeps it from rotating back. But it looks cheesy.

I bought one across the street from the dunes, and it worked great. Clamped right onto the front bumper. It was like 25 bucks for the polished one.

I guess flags on the front make sense because that's always the first part of the car that crests over the dune but it sure would be annoying to look at while duning.
Anyhow, there's nothing better than welding a tab on for the mount. You can buy a tab at any Offroad shop. The stock front bumpers are kind of cheap, brittle steel and don't weld very well but it can be done.
