Maybe its obvious to Mav Trail readers that "I'm on the hunt" for accessories which reasonably provide protection to undercarriage, rockers and body side panels while complying with USFS 50" max width restrictions. The new thread topic I posted earlier today regarding rocker rock slider alternatives is a key component to that, however not the whole story. Based on response received from Dragonfire today and unless Factory UTV has product designed, tooled and ready to ship within days, I'll choose Dragonfire as the best currently available option.
Next, undercarriage protection. Mav Trail standard equipment front a-arm guards are merely airborne stone protectors rather than true rock skids, so OEM accessory front/rear HMWPE a-arm skids plus mating front center skid (protect exposed sheetmetal) are all on my preliminary shopping list. At this point, I see no justification to remove and replace standard equipment belly pan skids which are all riveted in place. An example of KISS...
Now, bumpers. Questions about overall width on various OEM "Trail" or Can-Am by Dragonfire bumpers are unknowns to me. MSRP costs aside, I'd prefer Dragonfire's front/rear bumpers to complement their rock sliders if I choose those. Also with consideration of total overall width with Can-Am or Dragonfire corner protectors installed.
Last consideration is cost. Can-Am OEM accessories are spendy with my stated items of consideration not even recognized by online sellers of Can-Am OEM accessories. Rocky Mtn ATV shows all items of interest in stock less 10% discount with "free" shipping and no discount coupon coded needed. Not stellar discounts, but kudos to them for identifying Can-Am's accessory part numbers and for having stock on-hand ready for shipment!
Please comment on any of these items installed on your own Mav Trail and/or where OEM items can be purchased for lower overall costs...
