Rear winch mount

I'm putting tracks on my 72" XRC this winter and want to put a rear winch on for mountain safety. I see rear mounts around for the old Mav, but haven't been able to find one for the X3. Anyone know of an option? If not I'll have someone build a mount that sandwiches between the rear plate or replaces it, but I like easy.

You could put a 2" reciever hitch plate in place of the Radius rod plate and buy a reciever hitch winch mounting bracket. All bolt on however I would suggest storing the winch in the bed as it would stick out a bit. Quick connect wiring kits are also available.

DMX Performance has a series of rear bumpers that you can get a reciever hitch and a winch above that.... that's what I'm looking into

ditto, I have a rear winch on my general that goes into a 2" receiver

was trying to think which vendor makes the rear pull plate with 2" receiver built in? I know I have seen a few of them

Thanks for the ideas. I didn't think about how far the winch would stick out if it was mounted there permanently (as long as the tracks are on). I'll look around for the dual purpose bumpers and receiver plate options and report back.

Thanks for the tip! I will only use it for a shackle mount for towing or winching, so the least obtrusive the better.

I've been trying to reach them about the winch mount pattern, I want to put on the same Superwinch Terra 4500 that I have on the front of the XRC, but they haven't replied in a week.

Did you ever winch yourself out with it ? I’m assuming you did . Is the rear of the X3 strong enough to pull from the back end ? Just cause anything I’ve read says 1650 pull pounds . Wanna do the same set up , just wanted some experienced info…. Thanks

As far as I know the atv winches use a common pattern.... I replaced my super winch with my wide spool viper 5000 pound and they were the same

I went receiver mounted. Kept the cables a little long on the winch for transferring it around to different things. I added a toggle to the winch mount to control power to the solenoid so it’s not energized when not in use.
