Pulling to the left when you let go of the wheel

Had a hard front end hit a couple weeks ago, hard enough to throw off my toe adjustment.
I reset the toe, car drives very straight and the steering wheel is centered... unless you let go of the steering wheel while moving.
While it's not common practice to have both hands off the wheel, I notice myself doing it occasionally. Putting my helmet on when driving through the parking lot, putting gloves on, etc.

It only pulls left when I let go of the steering wheel completely. On flat, even ground it will just slightly pull left. On uneven terrain it will yank hard to the left.

I've probably spent hours looking over the front end trying to find something bent, tweaked or goofy. Can't find a single thing that looks out of place.
I called shock therapy, they recommended taking it to the dealer and having them perform a power steering reset. Had that done, no change.

Hard issue to chase down, curious if anybody has any insight.

I recommend taking to an off road alignment shop. I did my own and still took it to the shop.

I was shocked at how far off my garage alignment with toe plates actually was. Tim

I do think that's a bad idea. Just seems odd to me that it will only pull when I let go of the wheel. I would think that if it was pulling due to an alignment problem that it would be evident all the time.

I agree run the string around the tires. You will see immediately what needs to be adjusted. When it all "looks" O.K. drive it down a road/street and see if it is pulling Passenger or Driver then adjust the tie rods, keeping the toe-in correct and adjust until the car does not pull. It is best to adjust with the driver in the car and the wrench guy doing the adjustment.
A 1/2 turn on a tie rod is a lot so make minor adjustments. Takes a while but the difference is amazing when you get it right.

He said he already did that.
