My stock tires are toast, looking at the XTR370 in a 32”. I was going to buy wheels when I bought the machine for 1150-1400 bucks. Will be getting beadlock rims to match. Looking like it’s going to run me around 1700 bucks for a decent set up. Post up those desert tan with your wheels and tires and what you think of them. Will be riding at Hatfield and McCoy for the most part. If there is a thread already post it please. New here. Thanks for your time!

Welcome!

When you are selecting wheels keep in mind you want to look for a 5+1 or 6+2 offset. You want to maintain the factory front end geometry that Can-am has designed. If you go with a deep dish style wheel you will have issue with Bump-steer/Scrub and additional stress on the front end components. Not sure you are aware of this or not, trying to help you not make a mistake.

I wasn’t aware of any of that to be honest. I appreciate your input! I was going to do that bombproof front end kit but I figured that was more for dunes and jumping. Seems like a lot of work. If she breaks I’ll do it then. But I do appreciate the tips, what wheel do you recommend?

Agreed 100%!! Doesn't matter where you use it.. If you want a solid, reliable car, you need to do some upgrades (gusset kit, shock tower brace/support, etc). If you wait until its "broken" then its too late and "might" require a new frame.. If you think the support kits is labor intensive, try swapping a frame!!!

There are a LOT very knowledgeable people on here, MANY have learned the hard way... Take some time and do some research on here and learn what mistake NOT to make on your $25-30k car.

Can't really help on the tire wheel recommendation, but just pay attention to the offset when you are shopping (you want an almost flat face on the outside of the wheel, like stock)!

If you have questions do a "search" on the forum. If you cant find your answer, just ask, many will help! Good luck on the Mods/shopping!

I got a sweet deal on this ride man. I only paid 16. No taxes. It was the last one they had at Romney Powersports that was brand new or I would have went 4 door. I got it right before the prices went nuts. What offset should I go with on wheels. 5+1 or 6+2. Looking at System 3’s SB-5 wheels. I also have a buddy that’s going to help me with the install of a double sheer kit, I’m pushing around 205 HP with that EVO kit. I have done a ton of research and my buddy’s have too much money. They all will just buy new shit but I was looking at the CA Tech kit. Is that a decent kit? I know we’re on a CanAm Maverick site but god damn if that new Polaris doesn’t get me all chubbed up, looking forward to seeing one in person! Still waiting on pictures of Desert Tan bikes but it’s no biggie. I really wanted to do a bronze rims on this desert tan color. I was all over the place here but what I need to know is what Offset and what Kit for my sheer kit. A link would be great. Thanks for all your help fellas! Ray Black from Maryland!
