Draggy said top speed was 85MPH when the Mr. Nanny said stop it. Indicated was between 89-90 MPH pretty close. I am putting my $ on the limiter is set at 85 MPH from BRP.

Sea level, mate. Cool temp and on a tarmac road. Perfect conditions tbh.
Are you certain your car is an RR? Your 0-60 time on pavement is roughly what a 120hp machine would run.

If it is, something is wrong. My stock 172hp machine ran 5.2 0-60, and now with a Whalen 217hp tune it runs 4.8 second 0-60. This is at roughly 2500ft elevation, with 94 octane NON ethanol fuel. One 250lb driver. 32" BFG's, Winch + bumper for added weight.

I would suggest to join the 4-5 FaceBook Pages/Groups in Australia/New Zealand and hit the "locals" down-under with this questioning also.

POSSIBLY machines for Australia are required special de-tuning. Could be why your extra 10+ MPH top end is unattainable?

We have a few members here that are from your area, but none of them have mentioned this as I remember.

Oh I didn't realize he was in Australia. Bet ya it's some obscure limiter for the international market. Maybe they're even de-rated.

Definitely the xrs turbo rr with smart shox

How much do you weigh? Weight is a big factor! lol ! Hefty passenger ?

I agree weight effects acceleration, but top speed isn't, just takes longer to get there lol....
In my case weight and tire size definitely took some of my top speed. With 37's and before upgraded cage, and exo cage it could hit the 90MPH speed governor. Now with the 39's and the extra weight of cage and exo cage I stop pulling at 85 MPH indicated on spedo. Actual speed is less that what speedo reads. I think an extra 20 HP and I would be able to go faster than I will ever need to.

The only time your speed is limited by HP is when you have too much drag either aerodynamic or other. Weight by itself doesn't change top speed.

Exo cage and bigger tires definitely added more drag.

Weight has a few downfalls when it comes to top end speed.......the time it takes to achieve top end can be greatly increased. Rolling resistance and heat cause by the resistance increases time to top end and will scrub top speed slightly. Huge difference in a boat. When we load my boat up with several people, gear, ice, fuel and so on top end is decreased drastically. More horsepower is needed to overcome the increased drag. Put 2000 lbs in your sxs and let me know if you hit the same top end !

Yeah a boat is the same thing lol

my average speed is 21 on my sport max lol.. i hit 76 once on stock tires.. MORE than fast enough for me.. you guys in your 90+mph machines are nuts :D

Mine is loaded up with about 2000 lbs extra weight. I would need more HP now to hit the 90 MPH speed gov. I did notice that all 4 of my 39 inch sticky tires were hot after my 1 mile top speed run with 85 on speedo (actual speed less). I was in 2wheel drive, and all 4 tires felt the same on temp, so there must be a lot of friction going on. @McCarthy was doing over 100MPH ahead of me and when I felt his tires they were hardly warm. He does have a lite 2 seater with small tires so that is a big factor.

Yup lol. My speedo indicated 91mph, and the car came stock with 28" tires that measured less than 27.5", and I have 32" tires on it that are a true 32", so the speedo reads low because of the tire size. 14.5% larger than stock. I don't know if the math converts that roughly equally, but if it does that's 104 mph. I would say that's high, and the stock speedo would be high, so I would say right around 100mph.

I've seen 94 consistently when I run a GPS app on the tablet, and that was one hell of a long straight stretch of road lol. Wish I had the speed on the screen, didn't have the tablet on as I wasn't leading.
