I have never liked the full windshield concept but have been thinking about a half windshield. My son drove a car with one and said I should get one.

whats the best brand etc.

Its going on an X3 if that matters. Tim

The Can Am gets praise for looking the best, but a lot of people say its contours block your vision. UTVinc and Clearly Tough are straight cut panels on the top, and go up higher, so no vision issues, and they will work with the CanAm intrusion bars thanks to their mounting system.

There are a few good threads with all the details in the X3-specific forum.

I bought both the 1/2 and full and IMO Tim you should go with the 1/2 not only does it look great but it works just fine...the ones that say it obstructs their

line of sight must be sitting on the floor...even my wife sitting next to me don't find it in her way and she's only 5' 2".

I had a half windshield on my first machine and went with a full vented one in this one. While the half looked cool and didn't block my view even being only 5'7" I have kids and the mud would just fly over us and hit the kids in the face... I'm hoping the full vented does the trick this time around.

I had the half windshield on my Maverick and found that going uphill or downhill, the top of the windshield was right in my field of vision. I went with the 3 way vented full windshield and it is much better for vision and it's better in the dust and mud. For plastic windshields, I found that after washing the windshield, spray the inside and outside with heavy duty silicone spray, let it sit for a few minutes and then wipe clean. You'll still get dust but it doesn't get as heavy and wipes off quickly with a microfiber towel.

I used my BRP half windshield for couple months it obstructed my vision in the dunes and going down the roadways was to much wind in my wife's face for her liking. so we went with full glass windshield has it positive side and negative side.......negative side car noise is louder and in summer its hot in car....positive side cold days it real nice in car wind and water stays mostly out can just wear sun glasses most of the time. IMO make sure half windshield blocks the wind from wife face or its not worth getting
