Looking to be x3 max ds or ds rr. Not a speed demon ,like trail riding not so much crawling but challenging. Have krx 1000 hard to beat it but like the styling of the maverick max. Should I pull trigger on 200hp or is the 120hp turbo sufficient. Pusuade me.

Well the krx is geared really low for crawling . Weights are similar around 1800 lbs. My wife is not into challenging crawling so we are looking at the maverick max for 4 seats but still have a cool rig. But I think guilty x3 is logical with pay now or pay twice later attitude. Thanks guilty 3x and jude for input. Curious about ride quality and stability. Bun

It really depends on where you ride and what your expectations are. I was going to purchase a normally aspirated side x side. It never came in. I cancelled the order, found a used 2018 X3 XDS Turbo R and went for it. I’m glad I did. I came from a world of big bore ATVs and would have been feeling underpowered with a sub 100hp side x side.

I trail ride. No jumps , no dunes, no soft sand and basically not much in technical riding. I crave power and drive a highly modded 800+ HP ZL1. The Turbo R with 172hp is enough for me. The 120hp base model might have done it also. Not sure. I do know now that I have experienced 172hp on the Turbo R, I wouldn’t want to go to a base turbo model.

Then again, I am a bit different than most. I am 61. I drive it like I stole it. I am still trying to figure out what I want to be when I grow up.

You could always buy the base model and mod it later if it doesn’t meet your needs. If you are not a speed demon as you mentioned, that might be the best route for you. My guess is that you might like the base model and leave it that way.

Everybody I ride with has a turbo rzr. I was outmatched with the a smaller machine. I had to move up just to keep up. It was doing everything too. Crawling. Trail riding. Just riding roads. I based my decision on everybody else being bigger and I couldn’t keep up.

Get the RR. It's always nice to have extra power on tap if you feel like using it.

I have a 2021 120hp ds turbo. I thought my first upgrade would be more power. So far have not felt the need. I have done: ct a arms, deviant radius rods, ct gusset kits, limit straps, ct tie rods, kryptonite ball joints, demon front axles, factory utv rocker gaurds, bd lights, winch and bumpers, harnesess, storage plus more.. anyways some 32s are up next and then ill probably get into more hp. I do alot of crawling and trails. Other than doons or wreckless fire road runs idk why 200 hp machines are even needed. Mine breaks free 80% of the time when i want it to and the times it wont im already doing 60 in a corner. If i could go back and do it all again i would get the rc and ad snorkles. Oh ya i added can am snorkle kit too fml. Get ready to throw money at it every time you get back from a trip lol.
