How about posting some photos of yopur car from the back so we armchair service techs can have a visual of the car.

Serously, folks woulk like to give some sound advice send the pictures of more than just grease splatter.

The most "common denominator" is they are getting hot. Never knew an axle to get hot, warm yes but not hot to touch.
What would cause an axle to get extremely hot?

I had the exact same issue on my 2018 XDS I bought brand new. Both rear axles were leaking grease on the inner joint. Clamps were tight. Dealer replaced both axles under warranty at about 400 miles. Never leaked again for just over 10,000 miles when I replaced them due to stripped splines on the passenger side. Went with 2 new oem axles and the ring gear in the gearbox.

Continue to have problem with stock cv boots leaking grease on diff side. Tried different clamps, etc. can’t seem to keep them from leaking. No issues with cuts or punctures to the boots, simply leaking under the clamp on the diff side. Clamp is tight when installed, boot does not spin, etc. Decided to replace them with HD axles. 2 miles into first ride with new Demon HD axles driver side inner boot slips off and grease everywhere. Tried another clamp … boot stayed on but noticing leaking under the clamp. View attachment 280450 View attachment 280451

Has anyone found a solution to leaking cv boots diff side?

But that doesn't explain this?

You are correct, it doesn't explain it. It just illustrates that it is a more common problem than one might think. Probably has a simple answer but it could be many different things. Hard to find a pattern of failure from just a few examples. Could just be coincidence that two different brands had the same problem.

To me that's hard pressed to be "coincidental".... However stranger things have happened!

Bought it new. That’s the next step, have the dealer take a look. Very frustrating, such a dumb problem to have. Thanks!
Just saw the stock axles did it too, I would have for sure taken it back to the dealer under warranty.

Update … Gone thru 2 Demon HD axles, a week at the Can Am dealer and still no luck keeping the drivers side inner cv boot from coming off, or leaking. Dealer sent request to BRP who responded “it’s the way I drive the buggy, try aftermarket boots and high temp grease.” BRP has been a complete joke and waste of time. Just put a Rhino 2.0 on this morning and made it thru a 4-5 mile ride without issue, but who knows what tomorrow will bring.

wondering if somehow drivers side of diff is getting too hot … does seem hotter then passenger side after a 4-5 mile ride. Anyone had a diff overheating issue?

‘Buggy has 23 hours on it and is completely stock in every way except 32” tires and EVO exhaust. I drive fast, but nothing compared to guys I see on-line.

BRP has the worst CS, tech and warranty support I've ever come across.

If you watch their old ads, they had videos demostrating what they are capable of sending a can am about 20 feet in the the air over a jump. If you did that and broke something they would say "it's the way you drive"......They will blame everyone but themselves....must all be a bunch of libs.
