I suggest selling your SXS and taking up a less expensive sport like checkers or backgammon...

Using a proper pry tool and not pulling too far, they can be reused many times. Just get the rivet head out like a 1/4" and then just pull it out with your hand.

 

Those are not the standard rivet.

The plastic piece goes into that metal washer.

While I'm not a fan of them I dont think there is any practical way to get around using them.

I don't think those are used or at least not as much in a X3 as they were in the OG Maverick.

I've only seen 4 of those on the X3, on the center stack side panels where we put radios.

 

Thank you for the input. When I purchased this SXS it was in a box basically. Those clips are a bitch. Yes I have a good tool for removing the button. They are very brittle. I suppose from the heat cycle of the machine. I bit the bullet and ordered 10 of them.

 

The rivets are available aftermarket for much less.

Some parts you just have to pay for oem

I agree, but some items we just have no choice.

I think the part you were looking is a bad design. They break the fingers off constantly.

The rivets are so cheap I dont care if the break coming out but those finger tab ones are an expensive bad design.
