Answers to some of the questions above. XRC is new chassis to fit the longer and heavier 4 seat trans.
I am very surprised that BRP didn't just update all models of the 2 seat R with the new Trans, now they have 3 different chassis across the lineup.
2 seat old trans(R X, XRS)
2 seat XRC with new trans
4 seat model
I have a feeling this will change next year, with all models having the newer trans.

Yeah I agree with you Rob I thought they would have made all two seaters the same as well to not deal with 3 chassis. I assume the backen plastics use the same as the max (assuming they are different for the extra length) and the trialing arms the same as the max. Maybe that is the play next year update them all that way and have one year XRC specific maybe. Or just keep rolling with it that way. Yeah while I don’t think the stereo is needed that isn’t the cost difference between the two. There are way more extras on the XRC compared to the XRS. Not to mention the different trans and length etc. I bet that steering stabilizer is probably $800 alone. Then the rock sliders, winch, extra skids, it also has a hood light and front bumper as well and the 35’s.

It’s probably just the back tubing from the max being used. Yes, technically 3 diff chassis but not really new parts. I agree though, should just use the same gearbox and rear section on all of them.

I'm still hung up on the $3700 extra expense for the stereo. Damn near a deal killer.
I do like the other features that have now been disclosed.
Longer is good
Trans is good
Stabilizer is good

Now I see where they were actually pretty savvy in the package to maximise returns making you buy the crappy stereo if you want everything else you can't get in the XRS.
Otherwise you could just build the XRS which also has more appealing colors.

I do like what I see overall with the XRC, the stereo is just a hard pill to swallow. I can’t help but think they could sell this for 2k less without it. I also don’t like the price increase for smart shocks all around compared to last year.

I’ll be looking at the Kawasaki very closely. It’s like $10k less than this thing now. If it doesn’t deliver or performs poorly I may still consider the XRC but will not be able to get past feeing like I’m paying too much.

I might also consider a 25’ XRS for around the 40-42k they are discounted to.

Lots to look at and consider.

JFC guys, this thing is 200+ hp per liter with computer shocks and a 10" screen. Can we PLEASE move beyond the carbureted boomer talk of "more goldern electronics to go wrong". I think we are way past that.

The biggest thing with the smart lights is the integration, it's an OEM look/feel to the buttons and installation over screwing an Auxbeam to the dash and/or having wires and relays everywhere. The light tucked into the hood is a slick spot for it.

I think they took the VOC of people being really upset about "no speakers" in the wrong direction.

Imagine not know a whole ton about SxS's, you get in and see the big screen just like your car. Bluetooth your phone to it and wait, where is the sound? Then you probably assume it's a connection issue before you find out that the thing doesn't have speakers! I know for a fact tons of customers thought that was ridiculous.

So their solution was to include one of the speaker kits they already have developed, the problem is it's fuggin $3700.

I can see wanting to have speakers standard. It's embarrassing to not have some speakers in your top trim level and other brands do this easily.

I can see not wanting to develop a whole new audio kit.

But they missed the mark on the audio I think. Just too much burden.

Completely agree.
It’s just odd they only did it with the XRC and not the other higher trim models like XRS.
The competition puts stereos in and still keeps the price roughly inline with the base XRS.
I’m not sure the stage 3 system is even that good, doesn’t seem like it is good enough to justify $3700.

I bought a 77” top of the line LG G4 OLED and an atmos soundbar for a little less than that last year lol.

My air pods pro work really good and even reduce loud noises and can get them for $250 or less. No problem talking to others in the machine either and can still hear other dirt bikes and machines in the area.
They work really good for me and I don’t have to annoy everyone else out there with my shitty music.
For me just no value in high powered stereos but some basic decent sounding speakers should be a standard item on all models.

My only problem with all the “smart” things is they work great…until they don’t. Or you try to change something and have to end up changing 3 others because of it. Or in my case almost unable to change. Or need someone close by with unlocked BUDs to work on it (which I don’t have). But I get it, for the average person that wants to buy one and than just go drive around it works great.
