Well hopefully you will get all the life out of those parts with your current mav r with out having to move them over.
I hope so, I don't want to take it apart again. I'm fighting trying to get the steering flag out now without removing the entire rack. Oetiker clamp can suck it.

I’m just sitting at the airport waiting for my friend to fly in and pick me up so we can head to the lake for the weekend. While I wait making list of stuff to buy for the mav r.
That sounds great! Have an awesome weekend. I should be back together by tomorrow afternoon.

I paid $34,900 plus tax in January for a '24 Mav R XRS with smart shox from Attica Motosports in Indiana. Super smooth transaction. I drove 5 hours one way but it was worth it.

I read the whole thread but I'm still not clear on the difference between the 24 and 25.

I read some software updates will help, is that navigation ?

The arms sound like thats a non issue?

I do see some people have some 2024 smart shocks, is the smart shock the same 24 vs 25?

a arm update isint an issue at this point, Updates are all free downloads you can do at home, but in reality should be done at dealer before unit is delivered. Smart shocks are the same.

If you are getting the 2 seat version get the NEW XRC. It has the 4 seat transmission which is worth every penny you will pay extra, especially if you trail ride, hill climb or play in the rocks.

Other than the 2seat xrc. Nothing worth while been added to the 2seater since it release.
Steering rack upgrades, 24 had issues, 25 was better and 26 has once again been upgraded. If you order a new replacement rack from Can Am be specific on the year as the 26 and 25 may not be compatible with the aftermarket flag setups. We had to change our system from 24 to 25 and now once again are going to have to make changes. Not a bad thing when the OEM parts get better though!

Well the title says 24 v 25, so I am gonna go out an a limb and say the OP isint looking at the most expensive 26 on the floor!

Mostly dunes.

I actually see some left over 24's with smart shocks.

So NO BS if you can swing the cost I would still go XRC for the 4 seat trans. Every race car we build whether desert, short course or Ultra 4 gets the 4 seat trans. Stronger, better and heavier. So anytime in racing when you see heavier AND better in the same sentence it's either a typo or that damn good

The MSRP is almost 52k on the XRC.

It's a tough pill to swallow when I see approx 35k for a 24.

Something like 17k more plus tax is more etc.

I could do a decent dune build for that.

Oh for sure for desert and dune guys it blows that it's only in the XRC for 2 seats for now. Then between 24 and 25 the only difference that we have seen that matters is the steering rack setup, which you can easily fix by getting newer rack and solving the early issues. You can always build a limo which will have the trans lol
