Well a quick update after getting my ride back. The drive shaft was replaced and the loud vibration and noise is gone (my biggest complaint). Secondly, the gas smell, according to the service tech, is the richness of the gas and should go away over time (here's to hoping so). The fuel hose assembly recall had been taken care of prior to the build. Thirdly, apparently all Can Ams have the steering wheel play. They did bring me around the showroom to demonstrate this. 👍 I guess I was just spoiled with my Teryx having zero play. On a side note, they did charge me $160 bucks for the break in period check in and clutch adjustment. 🤔 I guess can am knows how to get their money!
Time to let her rip!

Thanks for the update.

Dealers/ service departments drive me crazy with their BS. I would question several things with the dealer, but at this point probably best to just keep things at bay.

Time to go out and have some fun!

After getting warranty reimbursement, on top of it they probably have that original driveshaft hanging in their parts department for resale.

My guess is it was just out of phase, not defective.
