Has anyone out there been able to confirm wheel width and offset? Is the X3 using the same bolt pattern as the current Maverick.

I'm not a site vendor here yet, so I won't go into detail, but rest assured there are options out there to keep the X3 right around stock or narrower. Obviously there are limitations, you're not going to find a 14x8/14x10 dune setup that is as narrow as the factory setup, but there are options.

I was looking last night and I saw a 6+1 wheel on rocky Mtn ATV. Factory fronts are 55 mm offset.would that not be just over 2". I would think any 4+2 or 5+2 wheel would be same with as stock. This info is not mine and is not covered under any Patten's or infringement rights. So do what the **** you want to do with it. !!:joy:

Does somebody know the exact (original) size of rim for the front. I have a Mavericks X3 Xds. I want to buy a spare for my X3 use or new. I ask Can-Am they said contact your dealer and my dealer give me the wrong size. This is what I found here:

Wheel/tire specs for X3 XDS:
Beadlocks but non-square setup
Front 14x7 with 55mm of offset which is 6.17" of backspacing with a 29x9x14 bighorn
Rear 14x8 with 76mm of offset which is 7.5" of backspacing with a 29x11x14 bighorn

I google it, no luck. I guest 55MM or 6.17" is a language that google do not understand. Thanks for your help.

So are you asking if the specs you listed are correct? If you're looking for part numbers look here.http://parts.can-am.brp.com/Index.a...om/Index.aspx?s1=e8acjrql1fu26kj145kedn7as3&catalog_id=0&language_id=1&siteid=1]Does somebody know the exact (original) size of rim for the front. Sorry to bump an old one but didn't want to start a new thread when this one had lots of good info.

Anyone actually try to put og wheels on an X3? I'm finally looking at an X3 xds but want to keep my sti wheels and x comp tires I just bought. Anyone able to drill the holes to accommodate the 12mm studs and find some 12mm lugs that work or ream the OEM profile for the lug into the wheels, etc?

I suppose I could ask sti too, but I'll srat here first. Unfortunately I only have a fee hundred miles on the tire/wheel combo and decided it might be time to upgrade from my xmr.

Thanks guys,
Steve

As long as this thread has been brought back to life, lets correct the wheel offset (back spacing) calculations for the record.

Front 14 X 7 with 55mm offset
Calculate zero offset: 7.00 / 2 = 3.50 inch center
Convert offset to inches: 55 / 25.4 = 2.16 inches
3.50 center + 2.16 offset = 5.66 inches
So the front is 5.66 + 1.34 inch back spacing.

Rear 14 X 8 with 76mm offset
8.00 / 2 = 4.00
76 / 25.4 = 3.00
4.00 + 3.00 = 7.00
So the rear is 7 + 1 back spacing

I am sure you understand this, but to correct your correction, the backspace is the distance from the WMS (wheel mounting surface) to the inner lip of the rim.
In your examples, the backspace is 5.66 and 7.00 respectively, not 5.66 + 1.34 or 7 + 1, which are the wheel width.

so here's where i'm at right now after trying to read this thread

I have a 19 x3 max turbo base, i'd like to throw some 30x9.5x15 BFG t/a at ko2's on it, what are my wheel options that keep the geometry/scrub radius and such pretty close to stock.
I'm a function over form kinda guy so don't want/need any fancy(nee pricey) wheels, they'll just get arizona pin stripes and rock dings before too long anyways.
if it matters i've done the fox tune tweaks.
thank you obi-wans, you're my only hope

I'd go 5x2. Marginally wider than stock, but a very common size.

I run 4+3 MSA 14" wheels with 30" on my DS and they are wide but seem to drive nice
these are also called "0 offset"...wtf
I also run wide 30 tires on oem wheels (7+1) and they barely clear the rear arm
bfgs are going to be very heavy for a base x3

i did a little bit of searching on this a bit back because guys in a couple bookface groups kept saying this, and the ta all terrains and the km3 muds, and another popular utv tire were all within a few pounds of each other at the same size (i believe i checked for 30" or 31"s
honesty for the type of riding we've been doing (only 4 rides in so far, close to 200 miles total) i haven't had to really use all of the 'lesser' power the base has, i'm glad i didn't waste a couple three grand extra to get the r

I run 33 inch BFG KO2 on my 18 XRC on Douglas sector zero, which are stock offset. While they do they weigh 70 lbs no issue so far. Maybe 250 miles so far. Tim
