Has anyone out there been able to confirm wheel width and offset? Is the X3 using the same bolt pattern as the current Maverick.

This thread has got me second guessing if I want to get the XDS now, instead of the XRS. I do 95% riding in the dunes...it seems like the XRS with offset wheels and sand tires would be pretty damn wide. Not sure if thats a good or bad thing since the XRS is already 74".
It will be wide, but the sand it will be great. Nice and stable for high speed turns and transitioning from one dune to the next.

I will be close to 80" wide with paddle tires.

It appeared the front and rear wheels were tucked in fully, so going wider won't be an issue but you won't be able to narrow it any. I have a feeling they used the wheels to keep them as narrow as possible while making the arms as wide as possible.

Socalmav confirmed the larger studs.

15 XDS is 10 mm.

I bet the wheels could be drilled, but the aftermarket wheels may already accept 12 mm studs as they are more common than 10mm. Tim

Anyone able to get the weight on the stock X3 wheels yet, or at least a guess? If we get the XRS, I might just do like "Maverick4me" and get (4) stock wheels and slap some Skats on it. I'd really like to stay as close to 72-ish" wide as possible. I called around to a couple tire/wheel vendors today and it seems no one has after market "factory offset" wheels.

The stock wheels are tucked in pretty good...so on the 14x7, it's probably like what 1+6 offset???

Feisty bunch!

Glad to find this thread. I'm studding my Bighorns for the winter and am looking for an all-round "rest of the year tire" tire.
Tusk Terrabite, Maxxis Liberty and Tensor regulator in 30x10x14 have made the short list. (All DOT)
See http://www.maverickforums.net/forum/15-wheels-tires/42610-good-all-around-30x10x14-tire-3.html

Now the wheels with 4" overall width increase on XDS (64")...
-Is a square set up the way to go?
-What size wheel?
-Why 8 and not 9 if your replacing all four? (do they make 9"?)
-How critical is the need for beadlocks?
