Good point! I didn't notice any improvement to the Clutch Housing

I'm sure it could still be a benefit but the service requirement might be ignored by the owner. Out here I'm blowing the dust out regularly It accumulates like Talcum powder really fast

That’s would be sweet if it really pans out well and was a clear da compatible. The latter though I don’t believe it is.

Can Am says the P Drive can be retrofit on a 2021+ model.

2020 and earlier is a no go. Not sure what the difference is between a 2020 and 2021.

usually the p drive uses a special notched crank
so to retrofit you will need a notched crank
This is based on all previous pdrive applications
and I have not seen the pdrive used by canam...yet

This is some damn bullshit haha. Interesting it fits on the 2021 and not the older ones.

Manufacturers know what they're doing 5 years down the road, if not more. So they knew in 21 they were going to change in 22, so make the 21s able to retrofit.

Yeah haha. I would guess this means that they probably aren’t keyed though as I don’t think the 21’s are, but maybe so I haven’t personally taken one apart. I haven’t heard they are though either.

Too bad RMATV doesn’t have their 2021 parts diagrams up yet.

Well it's the same crankshaft part # for '20, '21, and '22's.

Part 420819935 for all 3 years. I dunno...

There is no key on the primary end of the crank on the '22 either.

I was talking to someone in the industry. They suspect it may have to do with the 2021 ECU upgrade.

But I can not confirm that for sure. I asked Can Am hopefully they answer again.

use brp online parts catalog and 22s are now up
yes, the canam pdrive is not the same as other pdrives (no notch)
so it looks like it should fit all years

the notched cranks do not use a "key"
Automotive tire Bicycle part Gear Rim Engineering

because the clutch is the key
this is said to keep the crank in balance
