I have a 2023 x3 and ride in the northeast. I was wondering what windshield to run a full or half and what brand. Haven’t taken it out on the trails yet just on my property. So far I love it can’t wait to get out on the trails.

I have a love/hate relationship with windshields. I have hated enough and gone back to no winshield. When it’s cold, it’s super nice to keep the wind off of you BUT, when it’s cold, it fogs up, when there’s mud or water, it gets on windshield and you can’t see (I do not have a windshield wiper). When it’s hot, the cabin gets SUPER HOT and there’s no circulation. With the heat comes dust. Dust sticks to the windshield inside and out (I have treated with rain x), plus the dust tends to swirl inside the cab and makes it even worse. The only time I like having a windshield is when it’s less than 60 degrees in dry sand, during the daylight hours. When using my 50” lightbar, the windshield goes to a frosted white with even a little bit of dust on it. Now I dress accordingly and keep a couple microfiber towels handy to wipe my face shield and use a pumper to help with dust and fogging.

Take the full Bent Metal off in the summer and run the half. Put the full back on when it gets cooler again. In 5 minutes Bent Metal pops off including removing the roof and the half windshield and roof is back on.

Question. The power flip BRP windshield cleaning?
What is the best method of cleaning a dusty and dirty Polly hard coat windshield like the BRP power flip?
We cover the entire machine in foam. Just tape off what's not water proof, and let her rip. Then we wash the windshield with, (believe it or not) slightly dilluted windex. And it does not turn it purple. Or blue or any other color. Hit it quickly inside and out. (We treat it with Rain X but not often enough)

Don't know where we'd be without it. We looked at DMW? And Bent metal and I just didn't like how much visibility it takes up. It's a good 2-3 inchs of visibility lost all the way around. The powerflip keeps almost all of the visibility you have without it, and if you get hot flip it up on the fly. Thise rams are pretty durable. But if The powerflip didn't exist. I do like the quality of Bent metal 👍

I love the BRB Power Flip and wouldn't ever go without one. I am constantly adjusting the window while driving to get just that perfect temperature along with least amount of dust when following someone. I treat it with the rain X for plastic windows to make cleaning easier.

We run with a full vented glass Bent Mental windshield during all seasons, yes it's hot as hades in the summer but we love the windshield. Currently only use microfiber towels on it with glass cleaner occasionally but do have a windshield wiper to install soon.

I had a half windshield for 1 ride and then gave it away. I felt it did nothing except get dirty and block vision.

Next was the SATV flip up with Hard coat. I liked this windshield but keep in mind plastic scratches easy, even with the hard coat, and if you put a manual wiper on figure you're going to be replacing the windshield yearly. It will also fog up faster and keep fogging up more than a glass windshield.

Now and IMO after having it awhile, Glass is where it's at. Bent Metal is a popular option. Whatever brand you pick, make sure it has venting. If it's 100 degrees you can just take the whole thing off but if it's 75 a little extra airflow is nice.
