Windshield suggestions?

Hello guys, I am new to the forums and I have a few questions regarding windshields and manual wipers.

I have an X3 Max and I also have the can am review mirror, and a swamp donkey stereo system mounted to the roof, is anyone familiar with this set up and, do you use a glass windshield with a manual wiper? Does everything fit just fine?

What glass windshields are worth spending the $$?

I have the can am hard coated windshield but I am really tired of not having a wiper and having to stop and squeegee after a few mud puddles or in this Michigan snow/mud/water holes!

Thanks!!

Not sure on wipers but for windshield. Powerflip hands down. Glass or Hard coated. The ability to put that thing in any position is beyond useful. Wiper kit is pricey vut I'm sure it's nice.

Welcome from Tucson AZ. Know adding a windshield will cut down air flow, and the cabin will be getting hot.

welcome from a fellow mitten rider. i don't have anything close to your setup sadly. If you do the motorized wiper you may have to relocate your mirror because the switch and motor assembly goes on that mounting bracket welded onto the frame.

i suffer from the same issue of the puddles coating the windshield, but i have the powerflip so if it gets too bad i just flip it up until i can see and just go slightly slower through the puddles until we stop again so i can clean the windshield off lol.. darn first world problems :D

I went with the EMP. Comes with 2 manual wipers. Full length vent at the bottom. They are in Cleveland, Ohio so might save you some money on shipping.

Powerflip is a win for sure. I looked at that windshield wiper unit, it's heinously big and creates a huge blind spot.

Everyone mentioned scratches right away is so that made me change my mind about it.

mine hasn't gotten a scratch yet (knock on wood).. but i also rinse it down with water, and then squeegee it off.. I even rinse it off before hitting it with plexiglass friendly windex

If you can't see out of it, flip it up

Welcome from Oregon

Vented glass or flip up is you REALLY need one

I've got a full and half and will never use them again from many reason. And yes, it will be hot inside, especially in warmer climates.

My view is, how I'm set up and the riding I like with the set up, I don't ride where or when a windshield is needed .
