Ok ,I don't think I fkd this up,I think wrong parts are sent.

Installed rack,no probs, made an extra plate out of 3mm plate for in behind factory mounting plate, might make it abit more rigid there ?

Installed p/s unit no probs,
Installed short shaft between unit and column,
Lightly bolted unit up to factory location piont,
Bolted mounting plate for shaft heim to brake m/c.
Used supplied long shaft with heim on it ,pushed on rack and through firewall,
Then, hmmmm
P/s unit splined, and so is long shaft to allow the heim to slide on,
Need another uni,but none supplied.
They only supplied another short shaft to go to the factory column with no p/s.
The other long shaft supplied will link between the p/s unit and rack but unis are welded so heim can't be installed.
Do I need to run the heim support?
Should I cut and shut the shaft and install heim?
Or should I wait 100 years for a response from seller and another 100 for them to post?

Grrrr ova this shit,

Unit was ordered together stating p/s to suit rackzilla.

Mine came in like yours, a 2 pc shaft with heim support. the splines on the rackzilla was bigger than OEM .

I run a machine shop, so i cut and swapped the joints, used a combination of shafts that came with PS and Rackzilla.

YES i was pissed also, but didnt want to deal with all the return crap .

But i was told, they sent the wrong shaft with my package .

Ok so it seems the heim is to be used where no power steer unit is installed, as there would be an extra shaft where the p/s unit would normally be,requiring the use of the heim to locate the shaft in the correct alignment
.
With the p/s unit in place one shaft is only required which locates shaft in correct alignment .

There is 2 types of splines used,
Course & fine.

Still may rig the heim support on the rack to p/s unit shaft to further keep things rigid as there is minor flex in the p/s unit bracket.

Question,
Should the light come on briefly at start up ? , as mine does not.

Although the system is working, even at standstill on concrete steering left to right is effortless ???.

Full lock left or right from centre is 3/4 of a turn with q/r rack.?

Did not log down what it was before.

Will have to get used to the faster steering imputs.
