What size and style skats for the X3? Where is a good place to buy from? I always have bought from Fullerton, maybe somewhere else?

Lmao , I don't care what peeps run . We pretty much much know what really works. This is the no Spin zone.
Weight kills and Rotating mass really kills and any one that knows performance knows that. These cars don't have a 1000 Hp so it really matters. SKAT-TRAKS MATTER. Lol.
A small front ribbed tire is great for squaring off a corner and pivoting and doing donuts of that's what your into. Butba small sharp edged pivot tire does not float or absorb chop nor help pull you at all. Just my Op

I tested 4 sets of tires two Skats (30" 14 paddles an 30"12 Paddles) and two STUs (28"x14 and 13.00x15")
the 13.00 was close to Skats in the performance less than a bike length but the 28" is like two bikes length.
The jump on the start line was for the Skats 14 Paddles but at the top the Skats 12 will catch up and the STU 13.00 is very close to them.

I ran my 8 paddle super buffed Skats and they worked awesome, for fast smooth dune running the 8 blade Xtreme wasa great now if your into some soft and slower choppy dunes and always in and out out the Throttle you might like 9 or 10.

Some years back when testing different rollout and paddle combination on quads using haulers we always found you needed the same or less# of paddles as you increase RO, but never more. The larger RO tire will have a larger contact area with the ground and when it comes to buffed haulers the entire tire carcass provides some level of traction in the sand, not just the paddles. The larger RO tire will also be heavier and effectively increase gearing which are additional reasons you really don't want/need to increase paddle count.

I remember when everyone drag raced pro wedges too but times change. I have yet to see Packard, k&t, evo or any of the big drag racers use 8 and 9 paddles on any SxS. Will less paddle mph faster? Yes. But they fail out of the hole at the same time. 60ft times suck too. Outside conditions, terrain, power, weight, helix angles all play a major role in these SxS's and choosing the right paddle count or r.o. is not the same for all of us.

There is no reason to even mess with the clutch with the Skats. If you run some heavy Tire and have to reclutch the car you have the wrong Tires.
