What I found to jack up my X3

X3's are so high off the ground that I was always dorking around putting my floor jack on a bunch of 4X4 chunks of wood. So I bought a aluminum floor jack to throw in my truck with the 16 inch extension. Then I started thinking about what to do when I'm 50 miles from my truck? So I bought the full side lift jack to strap behind the passenger seat or to the roll bar.

When I replaced the MavT with the taller 64" class MavS, I tested that jack on slightly off-level soft terrain and determined even before tire(s) were off the ground that the jack could easily fall over along with the machine on even that or more uneven ground. So, I screwed 2"x6" planks to the base of those jacks and carry a few more to stack for stability support as needed. Not a Hi-Lift jack (or jack base) as carried in my jeep but works quite well as tested more than once. With both machines carrying same items, plenty of options while not taking up too much cargo space. The "Buddy System" at work...
