I have a stock 2021 rs turbo r, thinking about putting the whalen 200 tune in it. Wondering if anybody has had any issues with or from it?

Considering the same tune for a Turbo R.
i did my 2021 max ds turbo R. Honestly it has been the best bang for buck on a cart I have done ALOT to. Amazing customer service and support as well. Strongly recommend

Are you still able to go from eco to sport? Can you run it on a fully-stock rig, or do you need exhaust/intake?
Is this for late model 2021? I had a Whalen tune on my old X3 and never had any issues.
My understanding is that the WS200 is the same tune as the prior WS170. They changed it for marketing purposes. The WS170 was approximate wheel hp. The WS200 is approximate engine hp. I have it on my 2018 Turbo R along with KWI clutching. Best money I ever spent on the car. Always starts and idles smooth and runs better than stock. I have raced against EVO 3R93 tuned cars and beat them every time. Only mods I did was gut the cat and replaced the airbox with a 2020 model. Your machine already has the better flowing airbox. I don't think gutting the cat makes much difference. Get a clutch kit to dial in the rpms and you will have power equal or better than a Turbo RR.

If i buy the pv3 from whalen, is the ws200 tune included, or do i still pay for the tune?

Always a package deal and the tune does cost BUT you have solid support from a great company.

I just install the WS 160 in my 120HP 2022 X3 Max. Wow-what a difference the machine with an additional 40HP. Also limiters off and start in any gear with foot off the brake.

one more question, if i buy the package with the preloaded tunes, do i still need a laptop, or can i just plug the pv3 into my maverick, and flash the tune?

Yes, 2021
No laptop is needed. Follow the prompts on the PV3 and it connects to your machine and then you can load the tune. Very straightforward.

Getting back to the eco/Sport mode, is there still a difference there between drive modes?
Yes, 2021
But is is for 2021 units build after December 2020?

Yes. You still have Eco and Sport.

The turbo r is still tuneable, only the rr is a no go

Thats the tune I have, seemed like the best value at the time.
No issues, and I like the PV3 monitor function. I also have the instrument pod mount.
