I'm new to the Can-am X3 world and decided to buy a 2023 DS Turbo 135HP. It gets up and goes pretty good but I was wondering how easy it was to upgrade to the DS RR platform. It looks like Can-am has a 120HP to 175HP kit available to keep your factory warranty but I don't see one yet for the 135 to 200 HP. After comparing the parts from the DS turbo to the RR DS it looks like I just need to buy the intercooler w\fan and a couple of hoses with misc clamps (about $700 on partzilla). Dealer has said they can't flash my ECM because Can-am locked them out but from the looks of it I can buy the RR ECM for about $500. I would think that if a dealer installed everything, I should be able to keep my warranty since using Can-am parts. Is their something I'm overlooking? It looks pretty straight forward. BTW this X3 is way more fun to drive then a 2021 Talon I had.

Welcome to the forum
Unfortunately the upgrade you want is not possible at this time solely because your ECU is locked and no one is making tunes for that model (that I am aware of). Bolting on the parts is easy but without being able to tune the ECU it really won’t give you any real performance gains. In addition, the RR engine is different than the standard R.
You can contact Whalen Speed and pose those questions to them directly. Their customer service is excellent and their knowledge is outstanding. IF there is a way to get your car upgraded, they will absolutely know.
Good luck with your endeavor

That information is not accurate. Evolution Powersports has been tuning the X3s with the new ECUs for quite some time now. I'm surpised people still continue to say nobody can do it, Evo has been doing it for a while and the info has been out there. They have several options currently available for your machine. You can see them here:

Thanks for the link. I wish I could still keep the eco mode (I was hoping I could buy the RR ECU and switch it out with mine) as I like that for bumper terrain. I see Evo list recommended parts is a blow off valve, why doesn't the RR have a blow off valve from factory?

Ok. It's time to ask for some help. I'm basically doing the same base X3 XMR (120hp) intercooler upgrade, tune, and exhaust. My issue is finding charge tubes that fit correctly with an over-sized intercooler. I purchased a PLM intercooler(built-in shroud) and a 10"Spal fan. I got the intercooler to fit, after trimming the plastics. None of the aftermarket tubes(silicone) I've tried run the original route. The short tube wants to rub the fan housing and rub the long tube where the short tube makes the 90 degree bend going up to the intercooler. I trimmed the long hose(EVO) and it seems to fit better. The short one, not so much.I've tried EVO, RPM, and Deviant tubes. It's giving me a severe headache! Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.
