Headed to Moab the week of May 10th. First time trip. I have a 2021 MavS XMR. Interested to know if I should remove my sway bars so that I have 4 wheel independent suspension? I'm pretty sure that I'm going to do this, but wanted some opinions. Thanks everyone.

For rock crawling, stock is workable but you will have one wheel off the ground quite often. Removing the front is much better. Removing both is the best.

fast forward, like google, is your friend. I wish TV had the choice of 1.5 speed like YouTube. I'd be more productive. :ROFLMAO:

Some people love to hear themselves talk.

You will want to disconnect your sways for moab, just be mindful that you will get more body roll for high speed stuff. But for crawling, you will keep more tire on the ground and the ride will be a lot smoother.

If only every offroad situation was like a flat blacktop. The problem is that when its bumpy terrain, its important to keep tires in contact with the ground and that is done by articulation.

i live 1.5 hrs from Moab so I’ve permanently removed my sway bars. Not saying to do that but yes disconnect yours for this trip.

I disagree.

No reason to disconnect your sway bars.

The safety concerns, IMO, outweigh the advantages.

These machines with the smart lock front diff are incredible rock crawlers.

I'll be in moab next week. Gonna ride Friday and Saturday. Rally on the rocks is great.

Sway bars reduce body sway in corners. The speed at which the body lean will cause a rollover is increased with sway bars. I don't know by how much, that depends upon many factors.

Ok, i thought you were talking about moab and im under the impression that moab isnt much for high speeds. I also had a 2016 turbo before my x3 so im familiar with body roll

Ok. Nobody at moab cares or is checking your machine. However, I do know they are getting harder and harder to deal with. They don't like SxS. And they are making it harder and harder to to operate. Of course, the 5%ers amongst us are wrecking it for everyone. No more police escorts to trailheads... so you either need to be street legal OR trailer to the trailhead. That's new, and I imagine it's gonna be a mess at the trailheads.

Regardless of the granola crunching, tree hugging, SxS hating, party-farts, is a blast and I don't wanna miss it.

Try this combo with the front sway bar links removed. C&A sway bar links make removing the front sway bar easy. The Halo sway bar lets you turn that on and off with a button.
