Quite a project you got going there Mega. Have fun and good luck with it. As far as the wiring goes, why not just buy a Max harness and be done with it. That way your not dealing with splices and margin of error.
I was thinking the same thing.

I am not too far from Mega, I could loan him a crow bar and some WD40 to pry open his wallet....!

error? I made a mistake once, but then i was wrong and turned out is was just a fart. I figure why not, what’s the worst that can happen.

There is an old saying there buddy, "What can go wrong will go wrong" lol One wire terminated with the wrong wire could at the least cause you hours of troubleshooting. Down the road when corrosion builds up (and it will sooner or later) in one or more of your splices causing intermittent running issues that you may or may not ever resolve. Or worse case one wrong wire could toast you ECM and/or Gauge cluster. So in the long run buying a complete Max Harness will save you time and money and much grief! You have enough work ahead of you to not add the possible issues of splicing a harness just because your being cheap lol! Just sayin.

Not really about being cheap, its about i have 100% confidence that I CAN and WILL NOT have any issues. I put a R1 engine in a RZR800 years ago and built my own harness with ZERO issues.

Marine adhesive heatshrink crimps and a good wrap in quality tape will prevent those wire junctions from corroding. Looks like a great project!

I assume you’ll be changing spring rates with the heavier chassis and load capacity.

I have done similar however its a fair amount of work and using an off the shelf max harness would save you time. I used to make everything.
Nowadays if I can buy it, I do. To each his own I suppose.

I can't believe that old frame didn't have any cracks. Makes me feel better about mine. Might have to check this project out sometime when I'm in the area for a beer at my favorite bar in your neighborhood.

I would consider get the 3/8" Factory UTV skids. They hold up better than the stock one, if you plan on doing more trail and dirt riding.
