Anyone having transmission issues with the 2024 mav r? Shifting from 2nd to 3rd really hard and sounds likes it's going to break something. Even in normal mode.all other gears shift smoothish but still kind of rough. Got about 600 km on this unit. Took it easy for the first bit to break it in and all that.

Yea it was was like this from the start but the gears have seemed to have gotten a bet better. It's just the 2nd to 3rd that is pretty harsh. Maybe just keep easing it into 3rd will smooth it out until I can schedual in that transmission reflash. I'm guessing the BRP dealership should be aware of this and know what to do..right? I definately want to do an early service on the unit. I'm thinking at 50 hrs. Manual says 100.

I'm still having the issue with hard shift into 3rd. Seems to be getting worst. Just past 50 hrs on this and mostly cruising. Been trying to go easy on the shift but this seems wierd. Kinda making a funny noise in the trans area too. Wonder if 3rd gear is starting to fail? Still plenty of time on the warranty so I think it's a visit to the shop. Hopefully it's just a trans refash or something minor. Any body else have this happen? 😨

Change the DCT oil/filter and check the mag plugs as stated by others. Your first time draining all of the DCT plugs will lead to an utter mess. Read the manual on how to properly fill the DCT. You've got limited time to check for the correct fill level. I use Motul DCT oil as I swear the BRP oil is pure brake fluid. I'm at 1,400 miles on a 2024 and all my gear shifts now sound the same.

Yeah I am thinking to change the trany oil now even with just 25 hour on car. Will use the Motul DCT oil too , at least I will be sure about quality of the oil .

Thanks for the info. Iv placed an order through my local BRP dealership for all the trans oil and engine oils as well. Definately going to do the trans oil change and hopefully there's no chunks of gears gonna come out. If it's clean then I suppose I can get the dealership to do the relflash and hope I can enjoy the rest of my short summer. Now just gotta find the motul stuff. Sounds like it's way better that BRP oils.
Again thanks guys. I'll be back shortly with an update.

What do you mean by seen a filter on inside of the drain holes? Like pieces from transmission filter? Or maybe you just see steel mesh on oil pump pick up . When I looked on transmission parts diagram you can see strainers on the both side of transmission . Was wondering if they should be cleaned too after while. On passenger side will be easy ,but on the driver side the frame is in the way……not sure why they are there.

I'm having the same problem with my 2025 R. It makes a scraping noise when shifting from 3rd to 4th. It happens when I accelerate on a slight incline. It doesn't happen all the time. I have videos where the noise is noticeable. I was told it's probably the transmission shift selector. Greetings from Los Cabos.
Sería genial publicar algunos vídeos.

That would be great to post some videos.
