Took delivery Saturday afternoon (DS RR 64") and did a 50+ mile ride Sunday. It was set up with the typical low ride height from the factory with +/- 12" ground clearance but I wanted to ride it before adjusting the suspension. Bottomed out a couple of times on pretty easy terrain and not riding hard - still managed to crunch a rock slider.

Suspension adjustments are now underway and when done, I have 32" tires on 15" 5+2 offset wheels on standby which will go on. The Fox race tune adjustments set the rear at 15"+ ground clearance but the front at just under 14", so need to add more pre-load.

Congrats!
Very nice! I wonder how the 64" 4dr rides vs the 72". probably better for tighter trails, but maybe less stable at high speed?
nice bike. if i were spending that amount of money i'd get a tandem trailer, just to be safe.

Thanks for the comments. After a couple iteratons on the suspension adjustments, it now sits at 16"-16.5" ground clearance with the 32" tires. Seizmik Pursuit mirrors go on tomorrow...

I bought the trailer for my Maverick Sport XRC and really would like to upgrade to a larger tandem axle trailer, ideally enclosed. That'll happen eventually...

Congrats!! I picked up my max this past Saturday. Amazing machines!

With regards to the "Fox Race Tune" adjustments. I called Fox and they told me to NOT use their tune on the newer (2022) machines. Guy on the phone told me to reach out to the community to figure out how to set the preload and crossovers. He was in a rush so I didn't ask why but you might look into this. I am setting my ride height to 14.5" for this weekend and then will spend some more time figuring out where to put it. It's really low from the factory, like you said.

Cheers!
So, what is different between the 2022's vs earlier models that makes the Fox recommendations not valid? What does the 'community' recommend for the 2022's?

I can only say mine road like crap our first ride as delivered (less than 12" ride height in rear and slightly over 12" front). With 32" tires, I'm currently at 16" front and rear and the ride is so much better it's beyond ridiculous how they deliver these machines.

I spent some time reading through member Pound Sand's recommendations on suspension adjustments and cross over position which makes alot of sense to me. I'll likely be making more adjustments based on that...
No idea. Probably should give them a call back. I’m flipping my front shocks today and then will set ride height. I don’t know why it wouldn’t be a new baseline setting. Maybe it’s not “perfect” per Fox but it’s a start?

Im currently setting my ride height and I noticed that the Fox race tune only goes up to 2020 for the base 64” model. The installed spring height according to Fox is 23-3/4” in the front. Mine is at 20”. Not sure why there was a change.
My front spring length was well over the recommend 23-3/4" so I adjusted to that as a starting point and set the crossovers at the recommended 4.5". I'm currently at 22-7/8" to get the 16" height but didnt go back and lower the crossovers on the 2nd iteration. The rear springs gave me the 16" ride height at the recommended 26" spring length.

I have Shock Therapy springs still in the shipping box that will go on in the near future. They recommend 17" in the front and 16.5" in the rear with 32" tires which is where I'll end up.

i blew a tire on the interstate last week going about 70 mph with my single axle enclosed trailer i use to haul my outty xc. everything okay. but had to get help. helping my nephew move to college. had taken everything out of the trailer, including my tools. no tools to take the wheel off. won't happen again. second time blew a tire on this trailer. luckily no heavy traffic and out of way of other vehicles.
Glad it all worked out for you. My biggest concern is pulling the machine behind our 5th wheel where I can't keep an eye on things. I know a rear camera can help there, but tandem axles will give me more piece of mind.

Shock therapy springs, limit straps in the front made my machine a whole different animal. I run 35" on my RS max with a bench seat in rear for kids along with all the other weight. After going to 35s it was bottoming out and over extending terribly. To the point I was ready to sale. Luckily went with shock therapy set up and made it better than new even with 35s. Also done the BSD tire rod kit from them, and will also be doing the RIS when they get their shop set up in NC. I know this is an old post but you echoed my frustrations with the bottom out comment.
