Suggestions on battery booster.

So I’ve been thinking about getting a battery booster since I often ride with just a few other people, and sometimes alone a good ways out (yeah I know not brilliant). My buddy killed his battery on his new X3 RS a month ago on the trails and this would have saved his day. Question is, if I get one big enough to start my 6.7 is it too much to use on the X3? I’m assuming the booster is smart enough to limit the power on a small battery/machine. Electrical is not my thing. Any input on a decent unit? Looking at the Yesper below after watching the Project Farm YT review of several. Don’t want to spend 200 bucks on one, but will if I have to.

The booster wont force power into the system, The system will only draw what it needs. This should work fine.

I have a similar Tacklife kept in my MavS plus Noco packs of increasing max output (all the way to their largest 4250A GBX155 model) in each of my other 3 vehicles. I figure, having reserve starting capacity might well help someone else with a flat battery get back on the road. Kinda like a "pay it forward" thing...

Get a dual Battery setup with a VSR to to isolate the auxiliary from the main battery that way the starter will have enough to start and run the maverick

As for one of the boosters/jump starters your looking at they have some applications after all they show the thing starting a (diesel truck ) hooked up to a dead battery will just bring the voltage down on both

However those can keep your phone powered if you break down for real for days
I have used these before to jump a diesel, worked fine if the batttery was just dead or low.. They dont work well on batteries that are damaged (left for long periods dead or have a bad cell)

I will probably go ahead and upgrade my battery this winter, but it’s been fine so far. Not looking at a dual battery setup as I just don’t have the need with the few accessories I run. I see what you’re saying though as a backup, I just don’t want to invest that money. This should serve a few purposes like charging the phone, tablet etc.

Noco makes good stuff, I carry one of their rechargeable booster packs.
Also has a lamp and usb outputs for emergencies.

important note, some of these boosters (including the Noco) need to be put into an "override" mode if the vehicle battery is completely dead, otherwise the booster can't sense it is hooked up and won't work at all. Check your manual.

NOCO is the best.

NOCO is the best, but typically a bit more $ than others. I have a Tacklife 800A; it works very well. I think I paid about $65 for it a couple of years ago. I've used it on everything from my dd (Tercel) to my Hummer (V8), and it has always worked flawlessly. Compact, lightweight, easy to stow. It would have no problems jump starting a SxS.

I second Noco products wholeheartedly. Have 3 of them maintaining/charging my X3, Ranger 150 and RV batteries as we speak.
