I have a full STM rage 3 setup. Gold springs in both, 45 Helix, 2 shims, 40 gram arms, 11/2/0 weight set up. I ride mainly Ocotillo and hardback. On the street, from a rolling start, WOT, RPM's go to 7950, then drop to 7300 and start to climb again. I thought the RPM's were supposed to stay in one place at WOT? Don't these cars like it right around 7700? Maybe the belt is slipping? Thanks for your help.
Your weights sound about right for those springs and helix. Might be something wrong. If Mr.RPM's suggestion yields similar results I would take your belt off and your primary spring out and see if your primary shifts in and out smoothly by hand. It should not hang at all…..
