So cage is getting sand blasted and powder coated this week,door designs have been just about finalized they have strut assisted opening and new door handles and these swing forward like normal doors should. Getting to the home
stretch

So cage and tire carrier is back from powder coating. Door frames are getting coated and skinned in the next day or so .Roof and lights and custom exhaust going on tomorrow.All the painting on the frame is done .The rear is reinforced and plated and painted.. should be done this weekend .

Roof and plastic poles are back on was gonna wrap the roof but think I’m gonna keep it raw and just brush it .

Door skin are just about finished. A little welding and punch a few holes for the mounting hardware. Then there getting wrapped. In the final stages now

Tire carrier done and exhaust just about finished just need to add the 45 to finish it and wrap it .

So Car is 95% done for now waiting on a few small pieces to finish the doors. Need stronger struts for the doors to open on there own. Gonna re wrap the doors in satin black,shop didnt have in stock.gonna redo the wiring to clean it up even more and make it all look factory. Muffler sounds mean as all hell and the turbo just screams with it so open.

Well it’s time to start posting some pics of what’s going down with my XRC..We hope to be done this in around 2 weeks,as parts are starting to show up.I have already bolted on a few things like comm and lights and a few other bits. We’ll fall is upon us and it’s time to start the first stage of the build.We got it all apart last night,and proceeded to start cutting today. as a noob in SxS, may I ask why people change the cage? Is it weak from the factory or is there another reason or combination or many reasons? Ty.
