I'm adding a secondary battery to my maverick. I want to fuse it. The main fuse on the stock battery is 40Amps. Is this an adequate fuse amperage to put inline with a pc680? 16 AH but cranking amps are 170. The stock battery is similar so I guess I just don't understand how much current is pulled when starting. I was thinking it would pull more than 40amps?? Can anyone explain this?

I have a thread on how to setup a secondary battery with some pics. Search for battery isolator and you should find it.
