So if someone was perhaps making changes to their Mav and wanted to update the seat colors without spending a grand on new seats, what options are there? I like the seats fine, just maybe not the colors.....

Take the covers off (very easy to do) and take it to a local shop that make s boat covers etc or even an automotive upholstery shop.....they can replace the colored panels with just about anything to give you a custom look without breaking the bank.

Anyone tried painting them? Like to black out the yellow parts maybe....
I'm guessing they are vinyl, but not sure.

only concern with paint is the seat material is very stretchy and I'm afraid the pain would crack.....
