Has anyone mounted the Rotopax Rollpax on an X3 rollbar? I like the streamlined look of it. All of the pictures on their website show it mounted on a Polaris which has a longer bar. Not sure it will fit on the X3 shorter bar. I've e-mailed them but have not heard back yet.

I don't have the confidence I can stay on all 4 wheels enough to want to strap fuel in a crush zone.

Lots of guys here run the trail tank. The only downside of the trail tank is you cant use it if you run a lower windshield wiper kit.

This right here is what a reasonable person thinks, if you are not considering this then you are a fool. Would suck to roll over, get splashed with fuel and light up like a roman candle.

Wonder if that 1.5 gallon rollapax would fit right in front of the passenger seat and be able to clamp it to the bar that is there. A 2 gallon rotopax will fit under the seat or on the floor board on the passenger side.

The 2 gallon under the passenger seat was the other option I was considering. Just wondering if the cap may leak since it will be laying on its side

Man I dont know about storing a highly flammable liquid anywhere in the passenger compartment. There is already considerable risk with were the tank is now... Adding another container seems extra risky.

I was the same for years and never bought one. But i ended up buying a Rotopax when they had a sale on blem units. I can tell you they DO NOT leak and are made of some tough plastic that will not crack or break. I have ran on on the floor board of my X3 and now in the bed of my Polaris, yes my already match lit ready to burst into flames Polaris. Zero issues on rough rocky trails and dunes. Its all about how you have them secured and kept away from sharp objects or being smashed when rolling over.

Now where is your OEM gas tank? oh yeah under the dash, and how many have split and leaked? Yeah quite a few.
