Rode around with an XP 1K this weekend at little sahara in Oklahoma. This was the first time I've seen them in person or seen them run. My mav is bone stock. No clutch or anything. Drag racing... He'd pull on me out of the hole, but I'd get him by the end of the run by about a bike length. A couple bad starts, I still got him, but he did get me two times out of the dozen times we raced. So, we went to the trails. The guy even said that he couldn't keep up. Pretty damn good! While we were riding around, he managed to smoke the belt. Also, he's had problems with the front differential kicking in while in two wheel drive. I like the shocks, the larger "bed", and the seats. It actually has some storage, monster shocks. and the seats looked to be pretty solid and racier. Overall, I still think the maverick is the better buy. There's some things I liked about the XP 1K, but not enough to make a change.

One thing I saw that was DAMN impressive was a XP with the Arctic Cat Z1! Holy Crap! That thing was just plain impressive. Come find out, those things are like 250 HP and damn reliable. I don't particulary care for it being in an XP, but the engine package in a side by side is awesome!

Not to mention the ecm records how you drive it and if you pop the motor as a few have already then they can void your warranty because they might consider you abusing the machine. It also cuts power if you push the brake and gas simultaneously.

To me it doesn't matter because I'm not a popo fan. I believe There are alot of popo fans being converter everyday and I know people that were all excited about it coming out and now after they bought one say they think its junk. They are very disappointed.
