I have a 16 maverick xmr that when I back up it tends to hop the belt is good has anyone had this problem and what needs to be done to fix it

Would be great to hear more about you and your machine.
Might be kind of hard to find good diagnose and repair info under "Introductions"
Sounds like a dirty or broken clutch.
Here would be your section.

My clutches are clean im going to try and replace the one way bearings to see if that works

Unless u used a scotch brute pad to clean after you took the clutches off the buggy I doubt it. One way bearing would make it hard to shift while engine is running. Not your issue either
