I'm looking at getting a first gen QSC primary and an stm secondary that came off a gen 1 renegade. Will I have problems with it fitting on my maverick?

It will fit but the gen1 qsc will wear out fast in the maverick and you will lose about 10mph top speed. I ran one in mine and it wore out the roller bushings and arm pivot bolts in 600mi. The Hp of the mavericks wears them out pretty quick in my experience. This is basically a copy of the polaris clutch that ran in the rzr800's and works good for the smaller cc quads and commander.

Don't do it. They are weaker units and come unglued. It gets ugly fast. The QSC comes apart and takes out the clutch cover and the STM. In my case it also bent the output shaft on the trans.

The Gen1 doesn't handle the Mav well. I had good luck with mine for awhile but ended up with the Gen2. It's really good. Pair it with the Can-am roller secondary instead of tech STM

I didn't have very good luck with any of the aftermarket primaries, they worked good at first but failed one way or another. When my qsc predator(gen1) wore out so quickly, I decided to upgrade to qsc raptor(gen2), well it snapped off at the inner hub within 50 miles. Ended up having to cut it off the crankshaft. Broke a spider in a stm primary and so on, they just don't last. I've been running a turbo primary and STM sec for a while now & no issues so far. I miss the lower ratio on take off with the aftermarket primaries but I have spent thousands on clutches that don't last.

I have over a 100 hard hours on my Qsc Raptor and STM secondary with No issues.... Same belt and still operates like new. There are many of these clutch combos in service without any problems. QSC stands behind there product and now has a new Rev X primary out that's even better!

QSC replaced my failed clutch and damaged STM at no cost even though I was out of warranty. The Raptor replacement was flawless for the rest of my ownership and is still in the buggy today running great.

Glad your having good luck with your set up. QSC did stand behind the broken Raptor but with all the issues I have faced and the Raptor snapping in half when I was on vacation after a 9 hr drive with its first trip. I was done, Ive spent too much money on aftermarket clutches. And don't get me wrong as I loved the QSC performance, It just didn't work out for me. Black cloud I guess.

My 13 had 2k on it when I sold it in Feb. The last 600mi was with the Raptor in it. I don't know what the new owner has put on it but he is always out in it.
