Protecting the GPS mapping tablet

Buy a Lowrance or Garmin dedicated gps unit. They are made for the elements and don’t glare like tablets.

Take a look at ArmorX case if they have one for yours. I bought one for my Galaxy Tab 3 amd it is excellent quality. Waterproof and dustproof and shockproof.

I have a waterproof case for my iPad. I usually have it plugged in so I try to keep the connection point dry.

I have a case on my Samsung 10" however it's not waterproof, so I just put a 1-gallon Ziplock bag over it.

I use this Waterproof case for Ipad but I dont see that they make one for the A8.

Here's a more universal option that will fit the A8 Galaxy/Android/Kindle waterproof case

I went a different route with combo of Samsung ruggedized Galaxy Tab Active Pro 10.1" 64GB plus RAM® EZ-Roll'r™ Powered Dock for Tab Active4 Pro & Tab Active Pro The tablet features pogo pins that mate with that docking holder plus an especially high NIT rating, which I need wearing dark sunglasses. Installed mapping is proprietary ESRI ArcGIS using GPS-enabled positioning within the Samsung's Android OS.

I also have a GPSMAP® 276Cx bought 5 years ago which is hard mounted and used primarily for secondary quick reference while "on the fly" with Garmin SW region topo card installed.

I pad case myself but Im totally enclosed but looking heavy at the Tread Baja version to have the texting option use my in reach regularly so it might be of some use and my eyesight VS 1.24 screen
