Is there anything out there similar to the KC HiLites Gravity 7 light bar (link below)? Not sure I want to spend $1900 on that set up if there is a different option. Unless I have to.

Lighting on top of your roof is old technology. You need lights down low and to the sides for an off-road vehicle. Lighting is as good as what you pay for, more you spend the better lighting you get within reason. Generic China bars suck power and puke light everywhere but where you need.

Amazon lights ftw, just add more.

If you insist on a light bar then the 50" Baja Design Onyx 6 is what you want. More light and cost less than that KC set up

Even a 40" Baja Design bar will give more usable light than the KC set up.

Unless your leading night rides there is no need for a light bar. All your going to do is get blinded from the light reflecting off the dust. Better off with a few lights on a bumper and a pair of lights on the a-pillar.

Agree, nothing throws more light than Baja Designs. Expensive, but worth it.

I started with the KC lights because I thought they not only performed but looked good. (they do!) Ended up with a BD Onyx shock tower light and the BD headlights, now I rarely (if ever) use the KC lights. I still keep them on the car because, well, they look cool!

I just ordered the Baja Designs XL expandable light bar. 7 pods with side, flood and spot coverage. Puts out more than the KC, a couple hundred cheaper and look cool except no sunglasses covers. Also some amber covers. Call me old school but I like a roof light bar on my buggy. Too much glare and I’ll wrap the hood flat black like the loggers do. I went with a BD S8 amber 10” over the onyx for less amp draw. Some would say I made a mistake. Haven’t decided on a pair of squadrons or XL’s for the side pods yet but they will be amber. This is the first time I have ponyed up the cash for good lighting. China lights have been fine on my last couple cars but we’re usually not flat out in the desert and able to outrun your lights where I live and drive. I have high hopes once they’re set up. Hollywood told me “buy once - cry once”. Going to live by that creed on the new car.

I got a deal on some squadron pros locally but they still weren't cheap. With Amber covers thankfully. That's what pushed me to get Chupacabra mirrors. The cuero pros are billet, very slick, and have mounts for light pods. Used to drive a logging truck actually, before the advent of light bars. Never really had top mounted lights aside from a couple mirror mounted spots. But that was 15 years ago
