Tragic to say the least. I never ride unarmed and ready to defend if necessary. The sad part is that I shouldn’t have to but reality dictates otherwise.

Tahoe National Forest was the best location I could get from a little bit of research. Sierra County Sherriff’s Department was the investigating Agency

Just horrible. The older I get the worse this world becomes. I’ve been a miserable ass my whole life. I’ve been trying to change for the last 5 years and be more positive and happy. Just doesn’t change the rest. Hope they can find some peace.

I to never ride unarmed. X3 has a ar on the inside of the roof and a five seven in the side door. Defender has a p90 between the seats and a five seven in the glove box.

40 glock in the d/s bag, 9mm shield for the wife and Bersa 380 just in case. I ride the Tahoe forest a lot and there are a lot of "characters" up in the hills. Seen a lot of bears up there also so I got two cans of bear spray. I feel really bad for the 15 year son who had to witness his dad getting shot. I hope the perp gets COVID and dies gasping for breath in the infirmary at Folsom!

even if the doc had a gun it wouldn't have helped him, sounds like the shooter just opened up and doc and the son didn't have time to react, glad the son got a way, can't image what the son has and will go through. to doc: RIP.

Heck, the CA gov probably would have sent a social case worker instead of the police if it was his choice.....
Shooters/killers have more rights than the victims in most all liberal states.

If you live in California make sure you check with the county sheriff about CCW permits. Most of Northern California is gun friendly and they will issue you a permit if you take the class and pay the fee's. It is a peace of mind when you ride the trails up north! Your 6th sense should be in high gear also if you see someone in the middle of nowhere just go about your business and wave and keep going. We always ride in a group. That said I am more scared of the bears up there than the humans.
