Hi my Name is Lucas English from Camas Washington. I have been in and out of the off road scene for the last 10 years. My family has started to show interest in going to the dunes which is good. I have a pretty modded rock crawler 88 Jeep. I felt a nice 4 setter side by side would complete the fun. My 1st budget was a for a used 4 seater RZR but after seeing the turbo Maverick my wheels started turning for business reason. So I picked up a brand new 2015 4 seater Turbo Mavrick from my local Pro Caliber dealer ship.

Took her out on my 1st ride this weekend at Winchester bay to make sure there were not major bugs before throwing what Warranty I never had now the drain :) Learned alot about the rig this weekend.

Learned the factory CVT setup suck in sand. Ran all day sunday as a 3 seater belt never got warm. Smoked the 1st one in 150mi. Flet like I used low range when I could never got it stuck was always moving. We are building a scatter shield now and will run no cover since we are sand only with this rig. I also had nice little endo that bent a tie rod did a temp sleeve setup to get me by. I order 3 tie rods to stock now:)

While I am no 100% stocked on the rig from problems I feel they are simple ones to work through. The turbo feels good. I raced my buddy 4 seater XP1000 and was able to pull around 2 cars to 60mph with 4 people in each.

Here are my pics from the weekend.

I may have not broke it in right. I drove it low range in my field for 10min with my kids putting. Then started giving 2wd drive rides for buddy ripping pretty good but its only 3ac area and all grass so no load compared to the sand. Once I hit the Dunes I did maybe 10mi of low range trails and then it was on. Ripping Banshee hill etc. I feel on of the problems is the Maverick does good at hiding the smell unlike a RZR. I know my buddy will start to smell his belt on his RZR and calms down. I never smelled the belt once.

We are building custom Scatter shield with Plexiglas so I can see the belt only 5min tops to get to it and it will cool better. Will not be good for deep water now but I do sand.

Looking at the picture of the front end, you might want to purchase or make a front gussets to give the front more strength. CT Race Worx makes a nice gusset kit. Those A-arms bend easy too, we already found that out!:money:

Yeah, a 100 peeps will have 100 different proper ways to break in belts, but it is all good, as most ideals are pretty consistent overall. By chance, are you the English Racing that builds the sand drag quads that are total terrors, such as Dunefest?

Yes I own English Racing at one point we were doing lots of sand drags. 3 years ago or so. Been playing with GTR the last few years.

I would recommended the 2x Motorsports Complete Tie Rod kit from rack clevis to the spindle heims and it has a spacer on the spindles to correct the bump steer.

Yes I think the paddles were to much. I ended up flipping them backwards picked up a few mph and did not notice any loss in hill climb ability. It also drifted a little better on turning which felt better to me . Also those who were following me were not getting hit my huge roost. Killed the roost by 80%. Now I have to deal with your paddles are on backwards question :)

How many blades you running. maybe cut every other one off. When they say hey your paddles are on backward just say you Handicapping to give them a chance to hang with you.
