anyone running stage 3 Alba tune or new Evo 3R . really on the fence about a tune my car runs well now and is reliable i just dont want to run into issues. I guess im asking is it worth 1k ? are these tunes going to blow my mind ? am i going to wonder why i didnt do this sooner? or am i better saving my money. 1k for new pump, tune, charge tubes and bov thats a lot of money i could spend that in some good race prep.

There is alot of examples on YouTube for comparing stock verses tuned. Is it worth it for you to go that much faster than a stock machine? It's not cheap to go fast, as for what company to go with both are reputable companies that put in alot of R&D. Seek them out individually and go with your gut.

I run EVO's 3 R, runs great. If you're getting all that for $1K, jump on it. That seems low? Try to get their intake too. Pulls it all together!

Evo has probably best mileage and dyno time Alba also a good record for winning races. at my last race i definately could have used more power and a fuel cell hahah. yes maybe closer to 1200 still lot of money going from a stock 17 to the 3R im sure it will feel much different. i also am a 2 foot driver and i dont think Alba enables that

I use Oem belts only. //Airdam springs and helix, stock weights and 2018 inner primary basket with stainless steel slider plates. 180hp Whalen tune, if I drive like an a-hole foot to the floor 40' roosts in the dunes for 11 minutes I will explode a belt. If im nice to the belt but still have a good time I get about 800-1000 miles before it lets go. desert I have yet to blow one on 32" tall tires.

Evo X85 tune, roughly 200hp to the wheels, stock clutch with 3 of the 6 weights being high elevation weights and evo belt. RPMs are really good, power is awesome! I don't like to drive around a belt's capability and since the OEM one exploded before 100 miles on this tune, I switched to Evo belt. Much longer lasting.

with the 3r tune aren't you supposed to have full exhaust? Evo told me to retune if I was going back to stock muffler..

be prepared to spend more. on my max I did a 3r and am having some intake air temp problems which the ecu then pulls fuel and timing effectively making it run like stock or slightly less. on first start up after warm up I can take off and feel the increased power from tune, but longer you ride, the more heat soak/ power loss I feel. I initially thought it was clutching but after a long talk with Adam at airdam, he filled me in on this intake air temp issue that he discovered when data logging for racers that run his clutching with 2 and 3r tunes. in the tunes defense, I do not yet have a full exhaust (others said they ran the 3r on stock exhaust just fine), but it is on the way along with an agency power intercooler, hopefully in my case it was restricted enough to overheat IAT's and opening the exhaust fixes it. I already had evo's intake, air filter, and a bov. I have been to the dunes twice with this machine, both times same paddles but once stock tuning, and once with tuning- stock felt faster honestly.

I don't have the Max, I have the 2 seater, but I don't have any of those issues. Definitely needs either a gutted cat, or a cat delete pipe, and free flowing muffler.

i have a custom exhaust i made no cat free flowing into a circle track muffler its loud hhaha i swear it runs well even with 32s. car is so reliable and works good i do hit the mph limiter often depending on track and once and a while i mess up my 2 foot timing and it cuts out for a sec. I have talked to a bunch of people and its 50/50 with reviews some say eh its ok slight improvement and some say works well. again lots of money just dont know if this is best bang for my buck. that money could go a long way on proper race prep.

I don't know where you read that? EVO tells you to re-gap. Did you re-set your waste gate? That needs to be done. Could be some of your issues?
