I believe it’s only a few weeks until the on-line dealers meeting, just wondering Wtf anyone thinks is about to happen/change for the 2024 lineup. I’m waiting to buy a new XMR RR
What should change on the Mavs anyone dead against anything currently bugging them?

@GloverXRS
The Maverick R does have "Drown Mode" just like the X3. The Service manual will have it in multiple areas such as submerged vehicle procedures.
Best practice after long term storage, pump some oil before starting.

I read through the owner's manual. (It seems a bit rough with minor errors which will likely get cleaned up in time.) It looks like there are a total of 8 drains servicing 5 oil reservoirs, 6 fill plugs (including 3 level check plugs), two filters and 4 kinds of oil recommended. Engine oil, DCT, Disconnect Unit, Front Diff and Final Drive. I'm not clear on service intervals for the Disconnect Unit. (I don't know what that is.) Also, from the specs section, it appears that well over a quart of DCT oil (no idea what kind of oil this is) cannot be drained out. And coolant capacity is about 2.3 gallons. I didn't see much else that surprised me.

They put everything in SPORT+ and then complained about it being stiff :ROFLMAO:

Maybe if they wanted a smooth ride they could have tried comfort or one of the other 5000 modes.

I mean cmon, they drove around in LOW with multiple people and didn't even know it. They didn't even try to do an honest or thorough review, they just wanted to get one and bitch about it because they are mad.

Sounds like they are very sour about not being invited to the ride event. Talked crap about brp and were mad when they didn’t get the invite, so naturally they’re overly critical. Other independent reviews are almost polar opposite of these clowns
The key word here is 'independent'. Once invited to rub elbows with a manufacturer I do think that has an effect on opinion pieces for some. It also has the adverse effect if you are an entitled 'internet-made-star' with unreasonable expectations. This group has lost some credibility.

The video was interesting. They were beating on the car pretty good with the jumping and nothing broke, which is a rare for those guys. They all seemed pumped on the car when jumping it.

It was interesting they did not know they were driving in low gear on the initial ride. Once the discovered sport+ mode and high gear they seemed to like the power.

I don't know if it was because the suspension was in sport + or not, but watching the steering wheel shake like crazy going over the sand didn't inspire confidence.

And yeah, mostly dbags on that channel. The Matt guy seems decent, others not so much.
I will say that Matt guy does seem like a genuinely nice guy, but everyone else….no thanks.

I thought it was an honest review not skewed like the other nut swingers. You could see the roughness of the car, the tire rubbing, the overly complicated high/low shifting, too many setting and buttons to push. Not defending them at all but the video showed proof not just them talking and bashing.

This is total BS from a Pro R fanboy.

Sport+ at low speed and they wonder why it's stiff.

They talked about buttons and technology like a 95 year old complaining about his iPhone. There's a frickin L and H on the dash, it's not complicated they just didn't bother to try.

One minute they're saying X3's are so simple and this thing is too complicated, then they spend 5 minutes talking about how much easier the R is to work on and reach everything. Complained about the speedo display and ignored the ridiculous 10" fully customizable touchscreen also on the dash.

Never have I seen them so awkward, phony, and unsure of what to say. You can tell how full of shlt they were with calling everything "weird" and "wacky". It's like they couldn't come up with enough to complain about so they called the doors that are obviously 1000x better than X3 doors "weird". wtf

A guy with a Pro R called it too big and heavy LOL

I mean he complained about where the fkin gas pedal was, talk about scraping the bottom of the barrel.

The Mike guy “loves” the talon they have with a dct, yet in the CanAm it’s weird and he doesn’t like it? Or how they live streamed the entire pro r launch video and started slobbering over it before anyone saw it. Paid no mind to the maverick R launch, and as soon as they get it, it isn’t amazing, fast or anything revolutionary, it’s just meh to them. Most of the things they whined and complained about have never been talked about in any other independent review

I don’t trust much of anything from any “you tuber”. I would trust people on Internet forums who own things a lot more. This goes for just about anything, not just SxS. I’m sure there are exceptions but most you tubers are just trying to get views, generate buzz, and get subscribers and will do anything to make that happen. This bunch are doing exactly what they wanted to, generate buzz and get people to talk about their video and watch it.

Agreed. Their only goal is viewers, and their particular method of getting those is to **** shit up. Entertaining (for some), but really irrelevant if you are looking for legitimate info.

Interestingly, this was the first I've heard about the tire rubbing issue. It does appear that the tire sidewall is very close to the arm, and wider tires may not be an option without different offset rims. I notice that the R's prepped for dessert racing have a significantly larger offset on the front rims/tires.

People are saying the reason their tires rubbed is because they let so much air out of them for the sand.
